Age of Aquarius 2

The Sahasrara Chakra

"The seventh center (Sahasrara) is the chakra which integrates all the chakras with their respective qualities. It is the last milestone of the evolution of human awareness. Nowadays, we are at a level which corresponds to this chakra, and our consciousness is able to easily enter into this new realm of perception, which is beyond our limited mind and concepts, and which becomes absolute at the level of the Sahasrara. It is the direct, absolute perception of Reality on our central nervous system. This is precisely what is achieved through the Self-Realization, through the spontaneous awakening of the Kundalini given by Sahaja Yoga.”

CHAPTER 75
Nicodemus visits Jesus in the night. Jesus reveals to him the meaning of the new birth and the kingdom of heaven.

1 Nicodemus was a ruler of the Jews, and he was earnest, learned and devout.
2 He saw the master's signet in the face of Jesus as he talked, but was not brave enough to publicly confess his faith in him;
3 So in the night he went to talk with Jesus at the home of Jude.
4 When Jesus saw him come he said, Full blessed are the pure in heart;
5 Twice blessed are the fearless, pure in heart;
6 Thrice blessed are the fearless, pure in heart who dare to make confession of their faith before the highest courts.
7 And Nicodemus said, Hail, master, hail! I know you are a teacher come from God, for man alone could never teach as you have taught; could never do the works that you have done.
8 And Jesus said, Except a man be born again he cannot see the king; he cannot comprehend the words I speak.
9 And Nicodemus said, How can a man be born again? Can he go back into the womb and come again to life?
10 And Jesus said, The birth of which I speak is not the birth of flesh.
11 Except a man be born of water and the Holy Breath, he cannot come into the kingdom of the Holy One.
12 That which is born of flesh is child of man; that which is born of Holy Breath is child of God.
13 The winds blow where they please; men hear their voices, and may note results; but they know not from whence they come, nor where they go; and so is every one that is born of Holy Breath.
14 The ruler said, I do not understand; pray tell me plainly what you mean.
15 And Jesus said, The kingdom of the Holy One is in the soul; men cannot see it with their carnal eyes; with all their reasoning powers they comprehend it not.

16 It is a life deep hid in God; its recognition is the work of inner consciousness.

The Aquarian Gospel of Jesus the Christ 75:1-16

“But God is neither man nor woman. The clumsiness of language forces us to describe this supreme being in terms of gender, but its essence extends beyond that, encompassing all. God is the union of all the energy in the universe, feminine and masculine, yin and yang . . . And now, as we step into the Age of Aquarius, the good principles of all religions will be preserved and expanded upon in this golden age of spirituality. The beautiful and profound messages of the past will bloom in the new conscience of humanity. Women will take their place beside men as equals . . .

But the challenge for religions to adapt to the changes in people, to recognize that the meanings of the holy books are open to all of us, will crush some of the world’s most powerful churches and force them all to change forever.”

And on the day that the enemies of Allah shall be brought together to the fire,
Then they shall be formed into groups.
Until when they come to it, their ears and their eyes and their skins,
Shall bear witness against them as to what they did.
And they shall say to their skins: Why have you borne witness against us?
They shall say: Allah Who makes everything speak has made us speak,
And He created you at first, and to Him you shall be brought back.
And you did not veil yourselves lest your ears and your eyes and your skins should bear witness against you,
But you thought that Allah did not know most of what you did.
And that was your (evil) thought which you entertained about your Lord,
That has tumbled you down into perdition, so are you become of the lost ones.

surah 41:19-23 Fussilat
(M. Shakir, The Holy Qur'an)

“When Kundalini awakening and Self-Realization has occurred, a flow of energy in the form of cool vibrations starts flowing from the hands. This is what is signified in the above passage. Here Prophet Muhammad is talking of the coming Time — Time of Resurrection — which is in fact the present Age of Aquarius or Kundalini Awakening.”

Shri Mataji Nirmala Devi

“Knowing for ourselves — personal knowledge that goes beyond a mere belief in the words of others — is a sacred principle of the Age of Aquarius. We go beyond faith to find truth.

Rules and institutions will crumble under the weight of this scrutiny. Laws, politics, and even religions will be tested, altered, or devastated by the profound examination that already has begun. We will discard the sacred texts of yesterday and write them anew with new knowledge and new vision. This does not mean an end to religion; it means taboos and dogmas will be cast aside. We will find that the Second Coming of Christ comes from within us, not necessarily in the actual coming of the one Son of God. It is the awakening of Christ in yourself and in each of us. The Ten Commandments are excellent rules of goodness, but we must take them into our hearts, make them a part of us. When you have internal peace, you won't violate any of the Commandments. Under Aquarius we will come to understand our own internal book. We will understand the Bible and the Koran and all the holy writings because we will come to touch our own interior well of knowledge. We will know what is right without having to look to an outside list of rules to tell us how to behave.

The doctrines and dogmas of the past will be destroyed, but our belief in God will not. Doctrines and dogmas will be replaced by true faith in ourselves and in our knowledge. We will not say we have faith because someone tells us it is so. We will have faith because we know for ourselves what is real and what is true and what is not.”

“The notion of the anticipated "Age of Aquarius" made popular in a rock musical of the sixties contributed to the diffusion of this term. Such a major change in the cosmos — a spiritual knocking of the earth off its pivot — was a sign that something big was about to happen to its inhabitants. And those who had turned to spiritual contemplation via networking, writing periodicals, and establishing clubs were ready for it. . . . one New Age author calls it a metaphor for being in the world in a manner that opens us to the presence of God — the presence of love and possibility — in the midst of our ordinariness. It is a response to the idea that our planet is sacred and the desire "to create a world in which humanity, nature and the domain of spirit work together in ways that are mutually empowering and cocreative." . . .

The underlying faith is a lack of faith in the orthodoxies of rationalism, high technology, routine living, spiritual law-and-order. Somehow, the New Agers believe, there must be some secret and mysterious shortcut or alternative path to happiness and health. And nobody ever really dies.”

Anthony Aveni, Behind the Crystal Ball

“In the Age of Aquarius, what is important is not to have, but to be. We have concentrated too much on external things, forgetting that we are souls. We have been totally unconscious to what is of the inner life. But the proliferation of material greed, political power, and racial discrimination now crumbles before the spiritual rebirth, which forces us to look inward for the principles that force us to uphold the renewed ideals of love, honor, and truth. The children who are born in the time of Aquarius no longer want to believe, they want to know. Knowing for ourselves — personal knowledge that goes beyond a mere belief in the words of others — is a sacred principle of the Age of Aquarius. We go beyond faith to find truth.”

“At the end of 1995 Pluto began its thirteen-year stay in Sagittarius, the sign that rules religion, the superior minds, laws, and publications. Sagittarius means total expansion of our minds, ourselves, and our society. Pluto is the great destroyer. But it destroys to rebuild . . . Pluto comes to destroy the laws that chained us and to bring the laws that free us . . .

As if it were not enough that Pluto has come to Sagittarius to do away with the old and make way for the emergence of the new, on January 12, 1996 Uranus returned to its celestial throne, Aquarius, where it is to remain for a full seven years . . .

Together, Pluto and Uranus are the harbingers of the new era, the powerful forces that change our very perception about our world. The most strange and odd will seem ordinary and common in these changing times. The energy of Uranus, in excellent aspect with the powerful and transforming energy of Pluto, frees humanity from the chains imposed upon us. There will be less dependency on the external, whether it be government, society, or religion. Every human being will have to become responsible for his or her own actions and decisions. Laws of the past that have no bearing on the people of today will be changed . . .

As we move closer to the New Millennium, the influence of Pluto in Sagittarius becomes even more powerful and mystical and will intensify in 1998 when Neptune also moves into Aquarius, adding its potency to the mix in a combination of other planets that is unprecedented in human history. We are crossing into uncharted territory for all humanity . . .

These forces combined will continue to grow in influence, until on the night we end the old millennium, at the moment of midnight precisely, when it moves to eleven degrees of Sagittarius and we begin to touch divinity. On that night at the close of the old millennium and the dawning of the new, every planet will align to show us a picture of what is coming in the new era, a glimpse of what the future holds — showing us the profile of the new era of gold, the period of light and illumination, of the enlightenment of all humanity.

But not everyone will be ready for the change. Some will resist. If all people were at the same level and were willing to progress, there would be no resistance and the change would be painless. But people fear change, people fear letting go, whether it is to death or to love. Everyone clings to what they know because they think that letting go, surrendering, means dying, means disappearing. But the change is coming whether we want it or not, and the change will wipe the slate clean. There will be a disappearing — of what we think, what we know, and what we think we know.”

“Within the monadic horizon deeds of violence are forbidden: "Thou shalt not kill . . . Thou shalt not covet thy neighbor’s wife" (Exodus 20:13; 17; also, Deuteronomy 5:17, 21), whereas abroad, such acts are required: "you shall put all males to the sword, but the women . . . you shall take a booty to yourselves" (Deuteronomy 20:13-14.) In Islamic thought the nations of earth are distinguished as of two realms: dar al’islam, "the realm of submission [to Allah]," and dar al’harb "the realm of war," which is to say, the rest of the world. And in Christian thought, the words reported of the resurrected Christ to his eleven remaining apostles — "Go ye therefore, and make disciples of all the nations" (Matthew 28:19) — have been interpreted as a divine mandate for a conquest of the planet.

In our present day, when this same planet, Earth, rocking slowly on its axis in its course around the sun, is about to pass out of astrological range of the zodiacal sign of the Fish (Pisces) into that of the Water Bearer (Aquarius), it does indeed seem that a fundamental transformation of the historical conditions of its humanity is in prospect . .

As already recognized half a century ago by the Irish poet W. B. Yeats in his foreboding vision, "The Second Coming":

Turning and turning in the widening gyre the falcon cannot hear the falconer;
Things fall apart; the center cannot hold; Mere anarchy is loosed upon the world,
The blood-dimmed tide is loosed, and everywhere the ceremony of innocence is drowned;
The best lack all conviction, while the worst are full of compassionate intensity,
Surely some revelation is at hand. Surely the Second Coming is at hand.

(W.B. Yeats, The Second Coming, Macmillian, 1966, p.184-85.)

The old gods are dead or dying and people everywhere are searching, asking: What is the new mythology to be, the mythology of this unified earth as of one harmonious being?

One cannot predict the next mythology any more than one can predict tonight’s dream; for a mythology is not an ideology. It is not something projected from the brain, but something experienced from the heart, from recognition's of identities behind or within the appearance of nature, perceiving with love a "thou" where there would have been otherwise only an "it." As stated already centuries ago in the Indian Kena Upanishad: "That which in the lightning flashes forth, makes one blink, and say ‘Ah!’ — that ‘Ah!’ refers to divinity.”

Joseph Campbell
The Inner Reaches of Outer Space

“This is the changing of times, the eve of a new millennium, the verge of a new era for humankind. It is a new beginning, a time of transformation, and of a sweeping, collective change among all people.

It is the birth of an age of peace, a New Age, which will lead us to look inside ourselves, then force us to go beyond what we have known. As with any birth, it will be a time of challenge, a time of pain, a time of realization, and a time of ecstasy.

The evidence of the change is all around us. What people speak of as the Apocalypse is already here. We are living in it. We are living the climatic moments of humanity. Everything that was prophesied of horror, death, destruction, and brother against brother is happening. Look at Bosnia, for example, and the war horrors there.

But this moment should not be looked upon as tragic. Indeed, we are passing through a portal in time, into a golden era of peace and enlightenment. Those terrible events that fill the headlines are the paroxysms, the death throes of an era that is ending. In the closing years of this millennium and the dawning of the new, those paroxysms will turn into cataclysms. The every Earth itself will be rendered by the savage grip of celestial forces more powerful than it has felt in nearly thirteen thousand years. But the time of trouble is brief, and once we emerge in the new era, once we have stepped through the portal, the pain will be behind us, disappearing into the past just as the darkness of night disappears with the dawning Sun . . .

We are bombarded with negativity. But now is the time for us all to recognize our immortality, to let go of our fear and embrace life, accept the New Millennium with a divine and glorious "Yes!" Let the transformation come. It is an affirmation that comes not from the mind but from the heart. Aquarius is an era of love, of peace, of knowledge, and of spiritual discovery. Those who do not accept this transformation will not evolve. This is the time for us to recognize our immortality, our enormous divinity. And once we have, we no longer need to be afraid of anything or anyone.”

“It was from Paul’s concepts, which were wholly against nature, that marriage was prohibited for Catholic priests and the establishment of monasteries for men and convents for women originated. Both are supported by the false idea of the incompatibility between spirituality and a normal sex life. Many ascetic writings spoke about the difficulty of chastity. Augustine used to pray: "Give me chastity and continence, only not yet" (Confessions book VIII, cp. VII.) Except for Clement of Alexandria, the Fathers of the Church coming after Paul, all proved to have an insane perseverance to this misogynic attitude. Thus, Paul VI declared in 1977 that women cannot become priests "since our Lord was a man." We shall also quote the example of Tertullian, referring to the women within the Gnostic collectivity: "As for their women, they are such prostitutes! because they are daring enough to teach others. to take part in debates, to exorcize, to think themselves apt to heal and maybe also to baptize."

Nothing is, however, more transitory than the glory built on lies, so that many scholars investigating the present spiritual evolution have estimated that, after this age that has lasted two millenniums, there will follow a new epoch (Aquarius) considered to be Johanian, in contrast to the previous Paulinic age (apud B. Wurtz.) Mankind will thus restore the original significance of the gospels.”

Dan Costian, Bible Enlightened

“All three of my main kundalini teachers refused categorically to discuss the seventh chakra. They felt that this chakra should be encountered without preconceptions of any kind to interfere with direct experience.

It is therefore with a bit of hesitation that I write anything at all about this ultimate chakra . . . The Sanskrit name of this energy center is sahasrara, which means "to multiply by a thousand." In a looser translation, sahasrara means tapping into the infinite spiritual dimensions that lie beyond the personal parameters of consciousness. Awakening the seventh chakra is most definitely an experience in which we transcend our individual minds and enter into perfect conscious harmony with the infinite spiritual wholeness of the universe.

The ancient Chinese book of wisdom, the Tao Te Ching by Lao-tzu, begins by saying that it is impossible to vocalize a name for the ultimate God. In like manner there is no chant for this chakra. The sound that comes to you in meditation upon this chakra is nothing less than the sound of the universe vibrating directly within you . . .

Let me simply say that the seventh chakra is the swirling energy vortex located right in the top of your head and swirling also above the top of your head, where you transcend individual consciousness and tap into infinite consciousness. "You" are gone. There is no "you." There is only infinite consciousness, of which you are an integral part.

This egoless experience brings you into an ultimate state of spiritual bliss. In fact, the remarkable thing about the seventh-chakra consciousness is that it seems to be bliss itself. The universal consciousness, if we were to give it any label at all, would be Bliss Consciousness. This is all we can say.”
