How to save Mankind?
“The
burning question of the day is: How to save mankind
from total extinction ? Though this has been the
problem of the century, it has assumed a tremendous
significance these days. The scientific inventions of
nuclear and other weapons of mass destruction have
made mankind apprehensive of the extinction of the
human race in the event of another global war. Leaders
all over the world have been stirred. They genuinely
feel that only permanent peace can save mankind. But
they grope in darkness to find out a way to achieve
permanent peace. They meet and disperse; discuss and
disagree; hope and become frustrated. Every ray of
hope seems receding beyond their reach. The desired
solution is invisible and inaccessible to them.
But there is absolutely no reason for despair. Peace
is not invisible and inaccessible. Indeed it is
achievable. It has been acquired by those who knew how
to achieve it. It can be achieved by other as well. It
can be permanently established on this earth if right
efforts are made in the right direction.
Peace is not merely a negation of war, but negation of
warring tendencies in man. Man can be cured of his
warring tendencies. War exists in the mind of the man
and it is from there that it is to be uprooted. Mind
has to be treated by the infusion of God-Vision. It
will kill the germs of warring tendencies and change
man's outlook.
Permanent peace can be achieved by detraction en-masse
from lust, greed, hatred and fear. This is possible
only by control and concentration of mind and
acquisition of Divine Vision. Knowledge of His Sacred
Name and realisation of Divine Light provides
detraction necessary for Eternal Bliss.
Concentration of mind is, however, possible only when
one knows where and how to concentrate it. And the
realisation of Divine light and knowledge of Sacred
Name is possible only when one knows what is this
Divine light and Sacred Name.
Much confusion has been created with regard to Divine
Light, Sacred Name and concentration of mind. Some
maintain that mind can be concentrated by a regular
study of religious scriptures and performance of
outward rituals and sacrifices. Others feel that it
can be done by a practice of austerity and so on. But
this is all mere delusion-a total deception. If the
concentration of mind would have been possible by a
mere study of religious scriptures like the Vedas, the
Gita, the Ramayan, the Upnishads, Bible, Angles,
Quran, Guru Granth Sahib and the like, or had it been
possible by performance of the outward rituals and
sacrifices as preached and practised by so called
religious men, there would have been no conflicts and
peace would have been established on earth ere long.
But it has not been so. On the contrary, they have
bean responsible for conflicts of the highest
magnitude and destruction of cultures and
civilisations. It has not changed the brutal nature of
the man and it has brought about no change of heart.
It cannot do so even now since it is not the right
way.
Similarly the very inherent quality of the Sacred Name
of the Almighty is to make the heart sacred and pure,
the moment it is known and realised. The case of
Ratnakar can be cited as an instance. He was a
ferocious dacoit. But he turned out to be a great
saint Valmiki, the moment he got the knowledge of the
Sacred Name.
People have been made to believe that all words like
Ram, Krishna, God, Om, Khuda, Elahi, Akbar are real
names of God and God can be realised by uttering these
names. But this is also a delusion-a mere deception.
These words signify His attributes. They are not His
real Name. Had they been His real Name, performance of
so many so called Akhand Nam-Sankirtan, Prayers and
Nawaz would have helped realisation of God and
acquisition of Absolute Truth, Eternal Bliss and
everlasting Peace. Mankind would have been freed from
all fears. But this also has not been so. This proves
beyond all shadow of doubt that mind can neither be
concentrated by a mere study of religious scriptures
and performance of outward rituals and sacrifices nor
can Truth, Eternal Bliss and permanent Peace be
realised by recitation of His adjectives.
The question then arises where and how concentration
of mind is possible ? How Truth, Bliss and Peace can
be attained ? The answer has been provided in all the
scriptures of the world. The way has been shown by all
the saints and prophets of the time. But confusion has
bean purposely created by ignorant and selfish
intepreters of the religious scriptures and by
egoistic disciples. The answer has been clouded with
myth and ignorance.
It is a mere Truth that physical life of man is the
only means by which Absolute Truth, Eternal Bliss and
Perpetual Peace can be realised. What cannot be
acquired and realised during physical life of a man
can certainly not be done after death or in animal
life. Hence only man can acquire peace and establish
it on the earth. The birth of a man is rendered
useless if God is not realised in this life.
Lord Krishna in Gita says, "Seek the shelter of
Tatwadarshi who had visualised God; he will show you
the way how to realise Him. Sad-Guru or Realised Soul
is the only Shelter and it is only he who can provide
You with God-Vision". Christ says, "Come unto me and I
shall deliver you from all troubles". Prophet Mohammad
and other prophets of the world all over say
like-wise. Then the question arises how to know and
recognise the Sad-Guru (Realised Soul) who is able to
bestow God-Vision ? Lord Krishna was a Sad-Guru of his
time. He bestowed God-vision to his disciple Arjun.
Where to find such Sad-Guru these days ? Though this
appears to be a difficult question, it is not really
so.
God has been described as "Vergo" in the Vedas, 'Jyoti'
in the Upnishads, 'Param Parkash' in the Ramayan, 'Chandna'
in the Guru Granth Sahab, 'Noori-Elahi' in the Quran
and Divine Light in the Bible. Arjun was shown by his
Guru Lord Krishna this Param Parkash. Christ and
Mohammad saw the same Divine light; Buddha realised
this Jyoti. The Saint who can show this Divine Light
or Param Prakash instantaneously is really a Sad-Guru,
or Realised Soul of his time. It is within the
competence of a Sad-Guru to bestow God-vision and show
Divine Light instantaneously. The man who cannot do so
cannot be a Sad-Guru, however great he may be in other
aspects of life. The next question arises: Is there
such a Sad-Guru these days ? The answer is emphatic
'Yes'. The Sad-Guru of the time is there. Lord Krishna
in Gita says, "Seed does not perish. The moment the
seed will perish, there will be the end of this
Universe". The existence of the Universe logically
proves that the seed of the Sad-Guru is there. It is
the Sad-Guru of the time who is responsible for the
maintenance and control of the Universe. He is
competent to bestow God-vision. He has shown Param
Prakash to those who aspired for it and sought his
guidance. The very word Guru connotes a person who
dispels darkness and shows light. The only test to
recognise the Sad-Guru is whether he can Show Divine
Light instantaneously.
Thus Truth can be realised and Peace established by
realisation of Divine Light and Knowledge of His
Sacred Name, by concentration of mind on this Divine
Light and meditation on His Sacred Name. This is
possible only through the help and guidance of the
Sad-Guru of the time and certainly by no other means.
Concentration of mind is possible only through
Knowledge of Divine Light and His real Name. The
question then crops up what is His Sacred Name. His
Sacred Name has bean termed as Pawan Name, Holy Name,
Golden Name, Sat Name. It is something other than his
adjectives which begin with alphabets and end with
them and have bean attributed by scholars and
philosophers. His Sacred Name is imperishable and
ever-existent. It is the same for all men all over the
world, irrespective of caste, creed, religion, nation,
region, and language. It cannot be different. The
Creator is one and His Name must be one for all. The
preachings of all the religious Scriptures of the
World signify that His Name is only one. It has to be
realised. The outward difference in the preachings is
due to their selfish and egoistic interpreters. The
sum total of ten plus ten is always twenty
irrespective of the number of persons who work it out.
If the sum total is worked out anything other than
twenty, the answer must be wrong and incorrect.
Similarly the real Name of God is one in all the
Scriptures of the world. If anybody says that there
are different names of God, he betrays his ignorance
of the real Name of God and nothing else. His real
Name is recollectable at all times, day and night,
whether awake or asleep, whether in the womb of the
mother or after being born alike. It is the same all
through. This Sacred Name of His has to be known and
meditated upon. For concentration of mind this is
absolutely necessary, nay, indispensable. But only
living Sad-Guru can give knowledge of this Sacred
Name.
If people of the whole world thus concentrate their
mind and acquire the knowledge of Absolute Truth and
mediate upon His Sacred Name, their brutal nature will
turn to look upon man as man and not as an object of
hatred and suspicion and then there will remain no
cause for unrest and fear and not only permanent peace
will be established on this earth but this earth will
be turned into Heaven.”
