The term "viShNu brahma surendra sevitapadAm echoes the
sentiment of trishati name "hari brahmendra sevitA". shrI
shankara commenting on this says that they (hari, brahma and
indra) represent all grade of deities. Hence, this is to be
taken as SHE is worshipped by one and all. SHE is worshipped
by all because SHE is the Self of all and SHE controls all
as their indweller (daharAkAsha rUpiNI).
The term tattva svarUpam indicates that She has the form of
sat-chit-Ananda. tattva can also denote Atma tattvam (sat),
vidyA tattvam (chit) and shiva tattvam (Ananda). SHE is
called shivAm because she is all auspiciousness. As brahman,
SHE is the most auspicious one and no defect can be
attributed to HER.
In the final line of the verses in this pancha ratnam.h shrI
shankara pays a tribute to jagan mAtA's kAruNyam.h or
compassion. ambAl is celebrated here as the treasure house
of compassion (kAruNyavArAM nidhim.h). This aspect of ambaL
is the most important aspect in taking the devotees across
the ocean of saMsara (in which SHE is an expert vide,
saMsArapanka nirmagna samuddharaNa paNditA) and fittingly
SHE is adored as avyAja karuNA mUrtiH (sahasranAmam),
karuNAmR^ita sAgara (trishatI). SHE is the embodiment of
compassion. This makes HER the supreme sharaNaagata rakShakI
(one who protects those who surrendered to HER).
SHE who is adored and worshipped by all, may this mind also
worship forever.”
