The Cusp Of The Aquarian Age
"The
vibratory levels of the Universe
Waves manifest in all phenomena of the Universe, from the
everyday noises, whose frequencies are from a few
cycles/second to tens of thousands of cycles/second, to the
radio waves, whose frequencies are between 500 and 15,000
million cycles/second, to the cosmic radiations, whose
frequencies are over 1 followed by 22 zeroes cycles/second!
The mental and psychic waves have even greater frequencies,
but the nature of these vibratory processes is similar.
Their frequencies depend on the quality and refinement of
our thoughts and feelings (for example the frequency of a
feeling of love is much higher than the frequency of a
feeling of sadness).
According to Dr. Arnaud, a french scientist, all vibrations
of the physical world are between almost zero and 1 followed
by 22 zeroes cycles/second. This represents the lower octave
of the Universe (physical world). According to the same
scientist, the vibrations of the astral and mental world are
between 12 followed by 32 zeroes and 96 followed by 39
zeroes cycles/second! In the eastern tradition it is known
that these frequencies continue to rise as we access higher
levels of manifestation.
Vibrations in the living matter
How are these vibrations behaving in the living matter? Do
we have receivers for each gamut of vibrations? Do we / can
we perceive all vibrations?
The vibratory energies are classified according to a scale
of vibratory levels described by their frequency of
vibration. The frequency defines the quality (type) of the
energy. The amplitude defines the quantity of the energy.
The vibratory frequencies are dependent on the inherent
(intrinsic - existing as an essential constituent or
characteristic) properties of the emitter or receiver. Thus,
for example, the vibratory frequencies received by the ear
are between 16 and 20,000 cycles/second. The eye receives
vibrations between 1 followed by 14 zeroes and 1 followed by
15 zeroes cycles/second, etc. In this way, every sense organ
functions and can interpret only certain determined
frequencies. The range of perception of the five senses is
extremely limited compared to the whole range of the
frequencies in the Universe. Besides the five sense organs,
the human being has also other senses (receivers of
vibratory energy), which most of the time are latent (dormant)(for
example, clairvoyance), but which can be awakened through
appropriate training.
The 'quantitative' and 'qualitative' elements of
consciousness
In vibratory terms, consciousness is the aptitude of a
system to respond to stimuli (information). This system can
be complex (for example a human being) or very simple (for
example a cell). If we will hit an atom with a ray of
energy, the atom will respond in a certain way. When we stop
this stimulus, the atom comes back to its initial state.
This response is a manifestation of the consciousness of the
atom.
The same experiment can be done with a cell, an animal or a
human being. Of course, the higher developed systems will
react in a more complex way than the more primitive systems.
The more a system is complex, the more he will have a
broader gamut of responses.
Since the human being is an epitome of the Universe, the
number of possible responses increases enormously. We will
say that the number of possible responses represents the
'quantitative' aspect of consciousness. Maybe to some this
will seem artificial, because most people associate the idea
of consciousness with living beings only. This happens
because of our limitation and ignorance. We restrict the
meaning of the term 'living being' only to those beings that
can reproduce themselves. An intelligent person can see that
this vision is totally arbitrary, because what we are doing
is to project our own behavior to other systems and judge
them according to our 'standards'. According to those
'standards', atoms, for example, are not alive, just because
they do not exist and behave like us!
The eastern wisdom defined thousands of years ago the
concept of spanda (vibration or flashing forth of the
Divine Consciousness), as being the fundament of the entire
manifestation of the Universe. In this vision, consciousness
is everywhere, even in the most insignificant particle of
matter. In other words, the whole matter contains
consciousness (therefore, life) in various proportions. The
power who is hiding in various degrees the consciousness of
everything that exists is called maya, the veil of
illusion. This degree of the presence of consciousness
represents the 'qualitative' aspect of consciousness, and
this aspect is expressed by the frequency of vibration.
The ancient eastern sages, as a result of their personal
experimentation at the deepest levels of consciousness,
structured the human being and the Universe in seven octaves
of vibration (corresponding to the seven cakras).
These levels express precisely the quality of
consciousness."

"In such a (Western) society in which
nothing is respected, where is the chance for a person to
talk about Divinity? Still, one must say that, in all these
Western countries, as a result of this ugly culture, a kind
of confusion is created and a revolt against this culture
started, but that was even worse. The young people took to
all kinds of destructive methods. At long last, after many
were destroyed, they jumped into horrible cults and false
gurus. Right from religions, to cults and fake gurus who
were power or money-oriented. These seekers of peace became
absolutely bankrupt financially and mentally. They were all
mesmerised.
Those young people who survived were very
disturbed and they wanted, all the time, some sort of a
sensational game to play, to shock their minds, which are so
full of conditionings and thoughts as if they were trying to
escape from reality and wanted to enter into the illusion of
an artificial life. In a way, it is described that these are
the worst times (Kali Yuga), when people are in this
illusion and in confusion (Bhranti). This illusion is very
taxing and does not allow people to relax. Thus, though the
seeking of truth had definitely started and, despite all
these superficial hurdles, Divinity should enter into all
these countries in a very big way because they are all
genuinely tortured and harassed people by themselves and
they are not satisfied with their own circumstances and are
trying to seek the betterment of their life.
These are the seekers all over the world.
What they are seeking is the peace of their own mind. It is
a good news for such people that a unique discovery has been
found out by which one can achieve the peace within. One has
to go beyond the mind. This was very old knowledge in the
East, especially in India, and there were seers in the West
who also knew about this knowledge by which one can achieve
that state of Self-Realisation. In England William Blake,
Moliere in France, De Maupassant in France, and many other
poets like C.S. Lewis, and certain persons in America, have
been endowed with this future vision of Divine life entering
into human beings.
One may not believe, or may believe, but the
fact is that, in human awareness, what we have reached is a
stage where we do not know about the absolute truth. This is
the reason why there are so many types of philosophies and
ideologies and people want to have different types of
religions which are exclusive and they fight with each other
and finish the fundamentals of religion.
Now, whatever I have to say need not at all
be accepted blindfolded. We have had enough troubles with
blind faiths. But if one has an open mind like a scientist,
one should look at it like a hypothesis, but once it is
proved, one has to accept that there is a subtle system in
our body for our last breakthrough in our evolution.
Firstly, one has to know that our creator is the greatest
organiser.
In the human body, there are three types of
nervous systems. The first one is the central nervous
system, the second one is the sympathetic nervous system
which has a left and a right side, and the third one is the
parasympathetic nervous system.
The sympathetic nervous system is for
emergencies. For example, if one sees a tiger in the forest,
one starts running fast. At this emergency, the heart beat
increases tremendously. This is done by the sympathetic
nervous system. But it goes back to normal by the working of
the parasympathetic nervous system, which is in the middle
of these two left and right sides. In medical science, I
don't know if they have reached the conclusion or not, that
the left and right sympathetic nervous system act in
opposite directions, as they are complimentary.
For example, the left sympathetic nervous
system is nourished by a subtle channel, called the Ida Nadi
(Moon channel), and the right side, by a channel which is
called Pingala Nadi (Sun Channel). This Ida Nadi gives the
human being his emotional side. In one's subconscious, the
past is recorded beyond this Ida Channel. The Subconscious
is the past, today's past, then is the past of yesterday,
the past of this life, past of the last lives and ultimately
the past which was the one which came from all that was
created since Creation took place, the collective
subconscious.
All these areas are placed vertically one
after another and not horizontally. For our ascent one does
not have to pass all these subconscious areas as said by
many psychologists.
The other one, which is the Pingala Nadi,
works for the physical and the mental, meaning intellectual,
work of human beings. In the centre is the parasympathetic,
which is formed by the loops from both left and right
sympathetic nervous system. So whenever the sympathetic
nervous system is exhausted because of emergencies, the
parasympathetic relaxes and nourishes these two channels and
ultimately helps these, the sympathetic systems.
Wherever these loops meet, the energy
centres thus formed are known as Chakras. These loops
correspond to genes which are affected also by our
day-to-day activity of left and right sympathetic nervous
system.
The central one, which is the
parasympathetic, is nourished by another channel, called the
Sushumna Nadi (Channel of Ascent). Whatever we have achieved
in our evolution is recorded and is established in this
central nervous system. For example, human beings are higher
and have more sensitivities than animals have in certain
areas. If you want a dog or a horse to go through a dirty
channel, it won't object, but a human being cannot go
through that. So human beings have developed a sensitivity
to dirt, filth and bad smell, while the animals don't have
that. There are so many things one can show where human
beings are much more sensitive to which animals are not. All
this sensitivity is expressed through the central nervous
system. So all that we have achieved in our evolutionary
process is being expressed in our being through the central
nervous system.
There is one more residual energy which is
coiled up and remains potential in the triangular bone'
called the sacrum. Residual energy means that it is the
basic original energy which has not gone into division. When
the Divine Energy fails on the brain of the fully developed
foetus, then in the prism-like brain it fails into three
categories. It happens due to refraction. The energy that
fails on the sides of the brain cross over to form the
sympathetic nervous system. But when the Divine energy fails
on the summit of the brain which is like a prism, the
original energy, without any refraction, passes through and
coils down in the Sacrum bone as Kundalini. Perhaps the
Greeks knew that it was a sacred bone, so they called it the
'sacrum". This original, complete energy is coiled into
three and a half coils which is in a resting potential
state. The subtle system we have within ourselves is built
in..
In the process of our evolution we have
seven main energy centres on the spinal cord, and also in
the brain. When this fourth energy channel (which is called
the 'Kundalini' in the Sanskrit language) is awakened like a
primule in a seed, it passes through six centres and
ultimately pierces the sixth centre fontanelle bone area
(which is called "Bramharandra') and connects human
awareness to the all pervading power of Divine Love. Thus
one develops the fourth dimensional awareness. This is how
the Kundalini achieves this Yoga. When this Kundalini rises,
She changes the database of the genes and a transformation
in the personality takes place. The six centres (Chakras)
are cleansed, nourished and enlightened which is reflected
in the genes which are three each on the two sides of the
loop.
One has to know what is the ultimate goal of
our life. The ultimate goal of our evolution is to become
the Spirit, which is the reflection of God Almighty in our
heart. That is self identity and also self knowledge. Also,
one becomes one with the all pervading Divine power of love.
Our awareness is enlightened by the Spirit and Divine
vibrations start flowing through our central nervous system
enlightening our being. We also feel the cool breeze of the
Holy Ghost, which is the all pervading power of Divine love,
coming out of our fontanelle bone area as well as flowing
through our finger tips and our hands.
The seeker becomes thoughtless and thus calm
and peaceful. Automatically the seeker starts behaving in a
very holy and righteous manner. All bad habits which are
destructive drop out. The innocence and compassion
overwhelms the nature of the seeker. All perverted sex
styles normalise and even the eyes and attention become
devoid of lust and greed. The seeker now knows the absolute
truth on his finger tips. The eyes shine as a glint of
flames brightens them. Time loses its grip over the
personality and ageing stops. Action becomes inaction, so
that even when the realised soul acts, the action through
the ego disappears. The conditioning of the past due to the
birth surroundings which were binding completely drop out
and a new holy culture is expressed in the individual. The
collective life of Sahaja Yogis becomes the theme of very
beautiful enjoyment. The Sahaja Yogis get powers of giving
realisation to many. That is how Sahaja Yoga has spread to
65 countries.
This is the proof that something has
happened to the people who have got this awakening within
them. This awakening is long awaited by the seekers of truth
as the last breakthrough of our evolution. For this, you
cannot command, you cannot pay, you cannot disrespect.
Some people, who are not seekers but are
very arrogant, or maybe stupid, demand Self-Realisation. For
such people to have Self-Realisation, I have found it is
very difficult, whatever one may try and it doesn't work for
days together with such complicated, difficult people.
The second type are the cruel people like
Hitler, or the people who have been possessed by cruel
sadistic ideas. It is difficult for all such people to get
their Self-Realisation. But I was amazed that in this world,
there are so many people who are ardent, pure seekers born
in these modern times (Ghor Kali-Yuga). They may be having
some human failings, but this Kundalini surpasses all these
hurdles and gives a second birth to these people. Actually,
Kundalini is everybody's individual Mother. She has, as if
tape recorded, all the information about our past and about
our inspirations, also our aspirations. She is the
individual Mother of everyone and loves Her child and is
anxious to give the second birth to Her child. She
understands us, she rises when she confronts the Divine
Reality and pierces through this fontanelle bone area, which
was regarded as a very difficult task once upon a time.
For this you don't have to stand on your
head, you don't have to starve, you don't have to fast, you
don't have to chant, nothing is needed, but a humble heart
which is surrendered. To achieve this happening is the
blessing of the Divine.
You are cut off from the idea of Divinity
thanks to great intellectual work put in by many stalwarts
of literature, philosophy, politics and economics. Despite
all these efforts, there are people who have realised that
it has not brought peace, harmony or benevolence to them.
Also on a human level, it is impossible to think that there
could be peace in this world because of aggressive or
oppressed people. To many, there is no hope in the future.
The only way is to take to Sahaja Yoga if one really wants
to save the world.
The Spirit, which is the reflection of God
Almighty, is the source of absolute truth and joy. But this
spirit does not shine in our awareness when it is in the
human state. Only after Self-Realisation, does our awareness
get enlightened by the Spirit. Thus, to find pure love,
peace and joy of absolute truth, one has to become the
Spirit. This is the first thing we have to understand and
accept because we are not this body, this mind, this
intellect, these emotions, these conditionings or this ego..
We say: "My, body, my mind' etc., but is this "me'
which we refer to as "my".
We see all these beautiful flowers and trees
and fruits and all kinds of living work happening, all kinds
of seasons changing, and we do not even think: 'Who does all
these things?" There is the all pervading Divine power
of love, also called Ritambhara, which does all these
miraculous things, which we take for granted and never even
think about it. If you ask the Doctor, "Who runs our
heart?", he would say 'It is the autonomous nervous
system", but this autonomous nervous system has got the
auto behind it. And who is this auto which runs it? They
will not be able to answer. They are honest not to answer
but there is an answer to it. it is the soul which controls
all such vital things in our being.
When the Kundalini rises, as I said, she
pierces through the fontanelle bone area and connects us to
this all pervading power of Divine Love, which is doing all
the living work for which we need not pay, we are not
obliged and in no way do we even think about it. Thus, this
vital power starts flowing within our being and all our
physical, mental, emotional and spiritual problems are
solved as our genes are put in order.
There are seven centres which are the subtle
energy centres on the central path of our ascent, (Sushumna),
as shown in the figure. on the opposite page. But there are
subsidiary centres also, as you can see from the figure.
These subtle centres were created within us through our
evolutionary process. These centres give, on the left hand
side, our emotional nourishment, and on the right hand side,
our physical and mental nourishment.
When this power, known as Kundalini, rises
and passes through six centres, it nourishes these centres
which are meant for our physical, mental, emotional and
spiritual requirements. The centres reflect their new state
on the genes. These centres are enlightened, thus, we get
our physical side corrected, mental side corrected,
emotional side corrected and also our spiritual side
corrected. Once it pierces through the last centre, which is
the fontanelle bone area, which was a soft bone in our
childhood, it becomes one with the All-pervading Power of
Divine love. A cool breeze of the Holy Ghost, like very
beautiful vibrations, starts flowing through your
fingertips. You can also feel the cool breeze coming out of
your fontanelle bone area. This is the first experience of
Self-Realisation.
The second experience is that, when this
Kundalini rises, she creates a state of thoughtless
awareness (Nirvichar Samadhi). Human beings are always
thinking about the future or about the past. If one tells
them that you have to be live in the present, it is not
possible. One thought rises like a wave and then another
thought rises. These thoughts rise and fall, but they have
only come from the past and the future.
When the Kundalini rises, these thoughts
elongate. There is a space, very small, between the thoughts
(Vilamba) which spreads out and a state of complete silence
is created. Then, we are in the present, but without
thoughts, without any worry, without any anger and we stand
in the present, which is the reality. Actually, the reality
is in the present because the past is no more and future
does not exist. When we are in this state of the present we
become absolutely calm and peaceful. That is how we achieve
inner peace. This peace can be achieved collectively when
thousands of people get the awakening of their Kundalini.
For example, when we are standing in the
water, we are afraid of the rising waves. But if we can get
into a boat, we can watch the rising of these waves and we
become a witness of those frightening waves. On the
contrary, we can enjoy them. in the same way it happens,
that when we rise to the state of the present, we see all
the problems that are surrounding us and we watch them, we
become the witness and we are once and for all out of those
problems. We also know the solutions and we solve them. At
that stage, we are not bothered about the future or about
the past, but we are enjoying the blessing of the present,
which is the reality and we are thoughtlessly aware. We are
very aware but thoughtless (Nirvichar Samadhi). Whatever we
see is imprinted on our memory like a photograph. This inner
silence opens our heart. All the ego and conditioning start
dissolving in the ocean of rippleless silence. For example,
if I own a beautiful carpet, it is a problem to preserve it.
It is worse if it belongs to someone else. I would look
after it and worry about it. But if I could become
thoughtlessly aware, then I look at it without any worry.
Thus, the joy of the artist who has put in the creation of
the carpet starts pouring into my being from the fontanelle
bone area. . Very soothing, relaxing waves of joy that
enthral me. All the thoughts that come to us at this stage
are divine thoughts like inspirations. If we want to think,
we can think, if we don't want to think, we need not think.
This is the state which we call, in Sanskrit language, as
the fourth dimension awareness, (Turiya). This Turiya state
sometimes starts establishing itself after awakening for
hardly a few seconds, then it goes on increasing and a
person can achieve complete peace within his own mind.
First we try to enter a boat from the ocean.
In case we get into the boat and we know how to swim we can
jump back into the waves and save many others who are
frightened of getting drowned. This is the second state in
which we achieve a state which is called "doubtless
awareness", where there is no doubt about oneself. One
is fully self confident and can awaken the Kundalini of
others, can cure others and can stand on one's own position
of Turiya without getting disturbed by the surroundings.
This state is called as 'doubtless awareness" (Nirvichara
Samadhi) where one has no doubts about oneself or about the
divinity that is working through the being.
Moreover, the all pervading Divine force is
at work. Once we are connected with that force, it protects
us. This divine power is the ocean of knowledge, is the
ocean of miracles, the ocean of bliss and the ocean of love,
it is the ocean of compassion, but above all, it is the
ocean of forgiveness.
So to achieve proper ascent, one should
forgive everyone without thinking about that person. That
is, you have to say in your heart "I forgive
everyone", at least three times. When you say that, you
should not think about those people whom you have to
forgive, because thinking about them itself will give you a
headache, so the best thing is in general to say: "I
forgive everyone", at least three times, every day.
Because whether you forgive or you don't forgive, you don't
do anything, but if you don't forgive, then you play into
wrong hands. As it is, you have been playing into the hands
of wrong people and torturing yourself while they are
enjoying themselves. So now, it is high time that you get
out of this burden. For that, you have to say: "I
forgive everyone".
The second thing is, that you have to also
understand, that if you have been seeking the truth, you
cannot be guilty of anything. Because of the desire of
seeking, all your guilt has finished, so there is no need to
feel guilty or to confess anything to anyone. Once you are
seeking reality you have already got rid of all the guilts
that have built up in your mind. Most of the guilts are
artificial. There is no need to have any guilt in your mind,
but people carry it on as some sort of a fashion.
The guilt is of the past and as the past
doesn't exist, one should not bother about it. Whatever
mistakes you have committed, you should have faced them when
they were executed, but now it is of no use, bothering about
those guilts which were of the past. Thus, please say to
yourself,
"I forgive myself". You have to
say: "I forgive myself", because this divine power
of love is the ocean of forgiveness. So you have to forgive
yourself fully and not waste your time any more about
feeling guilty. If you do not forgive yourself, then the
centre on the left Vishuddhi gets caught up and such a
jeopardy of this centre takes place that it gets completely
closed and the Kundalini cannot rise. There are people who
feel very guilty even about their forefathers who have
committed a lot of wrong towards others.
Secondly, the agnya chakra on the optic
chiasma gets into a mess if you do not forgive yourself or
others. This centre is very constricted. If you don't
forgive yourself or others, then this centre cannot be
opened, and it is very essential that this centre should
somehow open for Kundalini to pierce through. Once you
forgive everyone without thinking about them, you feel very
much lighter. But, when the Kundalini rises through the
agnya chakra, she will make you thoughtlessly aware. So
please forgive yourself and everyone, without thinking about
them, three times a day every morning and every evening
before sleeping. It is like a prayer.
When you stand in your present, you are
surprised how peaceful you become. There is no disturbance
or turmoil in the lake of your mind and you enjoy that
peaceful state as a great blessing of joyful existence. For
establishing this peace within oneself, one has to, every
day, try to become thoughtlessly aware. Those things which
are created by nature or by human beings, which are
beautiful, will automatically make you thoughtlessly aware.
You will watch everything without any thoughts entering into
you, but the joy of that creation which acts like an
abstract energy filling into your being and you feel
extremely joyous subjectively and not as a result of any
objective or deliberate reaction from the mind.
The world needs people who have been
bestowed with this peaceful, blissful joy in their hearts,
who, later on, make others the same way and form a planned
or organised society, or a group, or a new race, which
enjoys this peaceful state of being. In this peaceful state
we are not running away from the society, we are not
denouncing anybody, but we are now like a baked pot which
cannot absorb any marks on it any more because it is fully
baked. So we become very mature people of awareness which
cannot be dented, which cannot be spoiled, which cannot be
tarnished by any other negative force. Thus, the
establishment of global peace can only come through people
who have achieved this state in modern times which is very
special and I call it a blossom time. In the Bible, it is
described as the last judgement, also in the Koran it is
called as Kiyama (the resurrection time). Otherwise, it is
artificial to believe that human beings forming a group or
an organisation that can create this global peace. The time
has come for many people to get their Self-Realisation and
I'm sure the day will come when these newly born, in the
realm of Divine love, will spread peace and also create
global peace.
With the light of the Spirit, the human
beings get rid of all artificial and false things which
haunt the human mind. Firstly, fear disappears from the mind
of the seekers. For example, when we go through very bad
traffic, we are worried about it, but if we are sitting on
top of a mountain watching the traffic, we would not be
disturbed by it. In the same way we watch the turmoil and
strife which is in our mind and we do not get at all
distracted. Thus, the fear that we have of death, of any
other thing, just disappears and we live an eternal life in
the present. We enjoy every moment of our life and try to
give this joy to everyone.
It is very important to note that the first
centre Mooladhara, meaning the support of the root, lies
below the Kundalini. This chakra acts on the pelvic plexus
which has the function of excretion. One of the functions is
sex. As this chakra is below the Kundalini, it does not play
any part in the ascent. On the contrary, this chakra stops
all its activity at the time when the Kundalini rises to
give the union (yoga) with the Divine power and we become
innocent like children.
Thus, the fear that we have of death, of any
other thing, just disappears and we live an eternal life in
the present. We enjoy every moment of our life and try to
give this joy to everyone.
As the Kundalini rises into the third part,
next to the nabhi chakra, we become absolutely righteous.
This area, which we call as the ocean of illusion, is
enlightened by ten principles of mastery. The great masters
have created these ten centres of commandments which are
enlightened and we become holy. There is no need to be
strict in one's behaviour. We automatically become really
spiritual. Like an egg becomes the bird, we are born twice.
In Sanskrit a Yogi or the one who knows Brahma, meaning the
all pervading power, is called Dwija and a bird is also
called Dwija, meaning twice born. There were Abraham and
Moses and all the ten primordial masters who have been born
again and again on this earth. Zoroastra has been born five
times and also so many of these were born in different
places in different countries to guide the people to take to
religious life to establish the necessary balance for the
ascent.
But talking about religious life, it does
not work out. By reading scriptures we get lost in the web
of words (Shabda Jalam). We innately feel the existence of
universal pure religion within ourselves after awakening
when the Kundalini rises into this part called the ocean of
illusion (Bhavasagara). When this centre is fully
enlightened and established in spirituality, we become
automatically righteous. We respect our value system, we
become moral, we become honest, non-violent and we become
innately compassionate. All these qualities start becoming
so evident within ourselves that we change and get
transformed into a new being who is extremely righteous and
who is like a saint. To such a person, there is no need to
talk about the "do's and the don'ts".
When this centre of Swadhisthan, which is
the second centre, is enlightened, then our creativity
increases tremendously. We have had many artists, musicians,
painters, builders, architects, and all kinds of creative
people who have all of a sudden become world famous and have
achieved a very high level of creativity. This Swadhisthan
centre, on the left hand side, gives us the knowledge about
the divine laws, how they act and how we have to harness
these powers within us and how we should use them for the
benevolence of oneself and the benevolence of others. This
Swadhisthan chakra comes out of the nabhi chakra, which is
in the centre of your navel. The Swadhisthan chakra moves
like a lotus in this ocean on all sides. And when it comes
towards the left side, it nourishes the left side by
destroying the negative forces of the left side. These are
created by the wrong practices in spirituality. This is the
centre which is for pure Divine Knowledge (Shuddha Vidya).
The Divine Laws, their working and their use are all human
problems which are manifested in one's central nervous
system and automatically one becomes capable of solving
these problems for one's self or for others. But when it
moves to the right side, it gets directly connected to the
Pingala Nadi, by which it transforms the human intelligence
into a very wise balanced awareness. Many children who were
not doing very well in their class, were also sent away by
teachers out of school, but after getting realisation they
became very good students and started standing first in
their class. Many students got scholarships as well. Most of
the boys who come to Sahaja Yoga obtain first class and
sometimes first class first position. It sharpens the brain,
it makes it intelligent, much more than normal, but it
doesn't create a cunning aspect of intelligence or the
arrogant ego. On the contrary, such students or people who
have been helped with Sahaja Yoga become extremely humble,
kind and compassionate.
One has to be cautious in life not to go to
extremes. But a modern life is such that people go to
extremes until they get some sort of a reaction to that. You
see so many people sitting in the sun after one o'clock,
after lunch, sometimes for hours together and that time the
sun affects their skin. They get skin cancer but they
continue to sit like that until they get skin cancer. Every
habit seems to be of the same nature. For example, Grande
Prix, is one of the worst sports one could think of, where
somebody actually has to die to please the audience, just
like the Spanish bull fighting. Now the women of Spain have
taken to bull fighting. So the futuristic people who are
really indulging in such extreme behaviour on the right hand
side really become subject to many diseases like liver
problems, severe constipation, asthma, massive heart
attacks, paralysis, diabetes, blood cancer, kidney
non-functioning, etc.
All problems created by extreme behaviour on
the right hand side or on the left hand side can be
corrected by bringing the play of the Kundalini because,
when, she rises she pulls the attention towards the centre.
Thus, a person becomes a very balanced personality and
doesn't go to extremes into anything. Moreover, all the
ego-oriented habits drop out. Also, habits which exist
because of conditioning also disappear. So a person becomes
a free personality and he sees himself in the past and
laughs at himself.
Another thing that happens to a person who
gets his awakening is that he forgets all the artificial
barriers of life, like racialism, nationalism, communism,
capitalism, and all "-isms" drop out and he
becomes a part of the universal religion and universal
kingdom of Divine love.
The universal religion is innately
enlightened and is the expression of the inner being which
conquers all the doubts in our mind and make a clear picture
of what is wrong in our systems, our family, our country,
and our world. Why is there no peace? It understands the
reason and it does not identify itself with any one of the
conditionings of any "isms" as one is not a slave.
It is the light of the Spirit which is the reflection of God
Almighty in our heart and is absolutely free and is all
knowing. In this light we understand that there is something
wrong within us, within our families, within our societies,
within our countries. and that is why we are suffering. . .
.
This sex oriented culture has taken the lives of so many
small children who may not know about these cultured parents
before they are born. Why were they born in countries where
parents do not want children? The way the men and women
think, talk and indulge in sex is really sickening. They get
exhausted and become impotent. With their sex life they are
like eunuchs in India, who only talk about sex. After Self-Realisation,
parents change. They are very attentive and loving towards
their children. The sex, money and power oriented culture
becomes spirit oriented: very beautiful, loving, sharing and
compassionate, forgiving, and joyous family life-styles
emerge. Because in the light of the Spirit, they see the
darkness of this ugly culture. They take to a very sensible
balanced, moral sex life. Most of the children born to them
are born realised and are very intelligent, obedient, very
loving and wise.
On the central path is placed, behind the sternum bone in
the spinal chord, the fourth centre, which is called the
Heart centre (Anahatha). It has two other subsidiary centres,
one on the left, one on the right. The central centre of the
heart is called Anahatha centre because the sound in the
heart of "lub dub" is created without any
percussion. Though it has a left side and a right side. This
centre is very important, because until the age of twelve
years, this centre creates, in the sternum bones, the
antibodies which are then circulated in the whole body and
they are under the remote control of the sternum. Whenever
one feels frightened or is under attack, this sternum bone
starts pulsating and giving messages to the antibodies,
which are called as "Ganas" in Sanskrit. These
antibodies fight the disease or the attacker. The centre
heart in the central position is the one for our immune
system. When we commit sins against the primordial Mother,
that is, indulging in wrong type of perverted sex habits,
alcohol, drugs, internal stress from anxiety and fear of
oppression, then this centre goes into jeopardy, making our
immune system weak thereby losing it's power to help fight
the diseases of the person.
On the left hand side, the centre of heart looks after
the heart itself. This is the centre where God Almighty is
reflected as the Spirit, which actually later on after
realisation enlightens the attention. This centre is caught
up when people exert too much physically and mentally and
also drink heavily. Thus, this heart goes down into a kind
of a position where anything can trigger the heart attack.
Especially in young age, if people play too much tennis or
any such games, they become the victims of massive fatal
heart attacks. This is connected with the 'problems of the
liver, of the second centre which we call Swadhisthan. The
futuristic people have dry natures or hot-tempered
aggressive natures. They become prone to a heart attack
which is massive even later in life. I his type of people
who are vulgar, crooked, cunning and of vile nature are
always in danger of massive heart attacks.
The left heart is connected to our worldly Mother, the
right heart is connected with relationship we have with our
worldly Father. This centre gets into trouble if the Father
is dead early or has left the son or daughter in childhood
or ill-treats the son or daughter early in life. On the
contrary, if the son and daughter disrespect the Father and
are those who commit sins against the Father, God almighty,
by thieving, cheating, deceiving, telling lies, violence,
killing, etc. All such activities put the right heart in
great trouble.
Above the heart centre is the centre which we call "Vishuddhi",
in the spinal chord, above the depression between the two
cervical bones. The Vishuddhi centre stands collectively for
communication. This centre when too active much on the right
side, results in the person becoming extremely arrogant and
aggressive in his speech and behaviour. Such a person can
become a good orator, but is completely dry in his address.
Such a person, who is suffering from over-activity of the
right side Vishuddhi chakra, may use very harsh words, raise
his voice like a roaring lion and dominate people with his
hard language. There are many other physical symptoms which
start with a hoarse voice leading up to no sound in the
voice. The left side of this Vishuddhi chakra goes into
jeopardy when people feel guilty. Such a person becomes very
shy, timid and sly. The centre of this Vishuddhi chakra is
the one which when one is in trouble lacks communication and
the person cannot enjoy collectivity and cannot sing. Too
much indulgence in feeling guilty can cause angina of the
heart. If that is not. caused cervical cancer may develop.
If this centre is out of order and there are some other
centres combined with it then a very complicated medical
case is created beyond the realm of doctors.
There is another shoot of Vishuddhi between the eye-brows
called the 'Hamsa chakra'. This chakra is for the power of
discrimination. When enlightened this gives divine
discretion. When overloaded with decision-making without
discretion, one can develop sinus or a shooting headache on
one side. When this centre is caught up, one should
understand that one should not eat things that can spoil the
throat, like sour things or things which are very sharp on
the tongue.
The centre of agnya is a centre at the crossing point of
optic chiasma in the brain. This centre has got two petals
and, one governs the pineal body and the other, the
pituitary. The pineal stores all the conditionings as super
ego while the pituitary creates ego. The two balloons of ego
and superego are placed in the opposite direction by this
crossing at the optic chiasma, where the Agnya Chakra is
placed. Thus the right handed person has his ego balloon on
the left side of the brain, while the left handed person has
his conditionings and superego balloon on the right side. If
a person is paralysed on the right side then, we should know
that the left side of the brain is affected. I am not sure
if this is accepted by medical science. When you think too
much we get into problems with this centre on the right
side, where the ego goes on bloating into bigger and bigger
balloons on the right side of the brain and covers our
complete discretion. The conditioning that we have from
childhood goes on mounting on the left side and creates
problems. But if one has visited the wrong type of religious
people and so called fake gurus or cults who try to
mesmerise people, one can become fanatical. These
conditionings have no truth in them, but as we are groomed
into them, we just accept them. As we grow, these
conditionings also grow and sometimes they render very bad
effects on our psyche.
Now the last centre is the limbic area. It is topped by
the fontanelle bone area, which is the area for our last
breakthrough (Brahmarandra). This centre (Sahasrara) is the
most important with one thousand petals, meaning that there
are one thousand nerves. When enlightened, they look like
one thousand flames burning very silently and quietly with
different colours. There is a big controversy about the
number of these petals. This makes the understanding of
Sahaja Yoga impossible for many doctors who are
argumentative because of their limited knowledge. in the
Bible, is said that: 'I will appear before you like tongues
of flame". Of course, it has been described in many
books in Indian scriptures as well. When Kundalini crosses
over the seventh centre, she pierces through the fontanelle
bone area which again becomes a little softer, as it was in
childhood, and this Kundalini joins, or becomes one, and
unites with the All-pervading Power of Divine love. As a
result, we start feeling the cool breeze of the Holy Ghost
on our finger tips, later on our hands, and also out of our
fontanelle bone area. This is the first time we feel the
All-pervading Power of Divine love.
People move from one side to another side like a swing,
or we can say, like a pendulum. But they cannot stay in the
centre. That is only possible when the Kundalini establishes
itself completely in connection with the All-pervading Power
of Divine love. As a result of this extreme movement on both
the sides, we create problems for ourselves and for our
society.
On our fingertips, we can feel our own centres and the
centres of others, as shown in the figure. If we know how to
cure your own centres through your self-knowledge, we can
also cure the centres of others. Automatically our human
awareness achieves collective consciousness by which we know
about the Chakras of others. Now we speak the language of
Chakras and understand others and their problems by the
Chakras. The extreme right side is for our extreme
futuristic personality or for the collective supra conscious
and the extreme left side is for our collective
subconscious. In the present when we ascend through the
piercing of the Kundalini into all pervading Divine Love we
achieve the realm of Super Consciousness."

"Levi
H. Dowling (1844-1911) had transmitted . . . by revelation
the Aquarian Gospel of
Jesus, the Christ of the Piscean Age (L.N. Fowler &
Co. Ltd., Romford, Essex) . . . Among Dowling's manuscripts
there was one called “The Cusp of the Ages” describing
the transfer of dominion from the Piscean Age to the
Aquarian Age. It was published by Eva S. Dowling in the
introduction to this gospel. Here is the description of the
new era.
“After
this living force of Kundalini is connected to the
All-Pervading Divine Power within
a human being, it starts developing the
spirituality of a person. One touches the
spirituality within
oneself, and grows into another dimension —
the Fourth One. Thus a saintly and wise
personality develops. The personality is the one
which is unfolding itself naturally,
spontaneously. But also by knowing how to handle
this All-Pervading Power through the Knowledge of
Purity one can evolve in a much faster way into
that Dimension.
Once the Spirit starts shining fully in one’s
attention one actually becomes enlightened in the
sense that one can see for oneself that one
becomes one’s own Guide, one becomes one’s own
Master. Then you don’t need any guide, but you
are the Master of your Self. In the past this
process was limited to one or to very few persons,
but now a phenomena to allow en-masse Realization
was discovered about twenty years ago. . . .
They are the people who have achieved a state in
which they know on their central nervous system
that they are part and parcel of the Whole. It is
not blind faith or lip service built of empty
words. This is the subtle Knowledge of the Roots."

“This
age will be an age of splendour and of light, because it is
the home of the Holy Breath; and the Holy Breath will
testify anew for Christ, the Logos of the eternal Love. At
first of every age this Logos is made manifest in flesh so
man can see and know and comprehend a Love that is not
narrow, circumscribed. Twelve times in every revolution of
the sun this christed Love of God is made full manifest in
flesh upon the planes of earth, and you may read it in
Akasha the wondrous lessons that these Christs have taught
to man” (p.15.)
The
gospel described the beginning of the Aquarian (= the one
that bears the pitcher of water) Age as follows: “And then
the man who bears the pitcher will walk across an arc of
heaven. The sign and signet of the Son of man stands forth
in the eastern sky. The wise will then lift up their heads
and know that the redemption of the earth is near”
(157.29,30.) And the accompanying footnote (within the
French edition; our translation) explained: “From the
beginning of this age, i.e. from this moment on, more and
more people will try to understand the spirit of the Gospel
instead of merely following its text. When the largest part
of the human race has been penetrated by this spirit, to
which this book makes its contribution, mankind will
undoubtedly be in the Aquarian Age. That's why the Aquarian
Gospel was given its present title.” "

Not
long ago, I walked across the floor of Oude Kerk, a
centuries-old vast church in the heart of Amsterdam. A few
other people were present, but I felt remarkably alone. I
could hear the distinct echo of my footsteps as I moved in
and out of the shadows to read plaque and admire the stain
glass. There was a dank odour, which was not unexpected for
a cold winter visitor. In spite of names familiar and
unfamiliar, the carved faces of departed men of power and
prestige, what most struck me was the feeling of the
emptiness of the place.
“
"Then the so-called religions that we have.
So called religions because people who have been
Catholics, who have been Protestants, who have
been Hindus or Muslims, or this and that — they
all have got that thing on their heads. And this
has to be thrown away.
We have to become a new personality after
Realization. As I said, you become like lotuses
from the mud. So now you have become lotuses and
the lotuses have to throw away all this dead mud,
otherwise the fragrance won't be there. What one
has to achieve is to throw away all these shackles
which are killing you, which are of no use but a
burden to beautiful lotuses as you are."

The
colossal church felt more like a tomb, a giant sepulchre of
the past, than a place of contemporary worship.
I
thought of other churches and synagogues, of the religions
behind them, and how all of these associations also produced
a feeling of emptiness. Oude Kerk only reinforced that
feeling.
I
crossed a few streets and hopped on to the largest New Age
centre in Amsterdam, like those that dot the Western world.
It was crowded with books, paraphernalia and activity. I was
greeted with the smell of incense and oils, and the sounds
of an updated American Indian chant, heard over the
chattering voices of people I imagined were busily
discussing reincarnation, meditation or the most recent
ingestion of a herbal remedy.
Interested,
open faces and inquiring eyes were everywhere, buried in
brochures advertising soulful events. Hands reached for
books on yoga, tarot and channeling. . .
At
the turn of the century, among a small but soon to be
growing number of contemporaries of Freud, mainly
psychologists and psychical researchers, most prominent of
whom was William James, there emerged more than suspicion
that the inner dimensions of the person consisted of
something other than instinctual drives.
Jung
would join their ranks to become the most influential
representative of this tradition in the 20th century. They
speculated that these deeper dimensions of the inner person
revealed powerful transforming images that are nothing if
not spiritual.
Their
initial judgment, which amounted to an attempt to locate the
origin of religious experience in the psyche, implied that
religion was an aspect of human existence and not an
infantile stage in human history to be overcome.
Their
conclusion was often ignored in the skeptical halls of
academia and medical practice because of the claim that it
required greater systematic analysis and amassing of
evidence to be supported. Nor did those among the
professionally religious show much interest.
It
is debatable whether we have reached a stage where we have
arrived at a critical mass of proof about the existence of
irreducible spiritual factors in the psyche, as the Jungian
and transpersonal schools of psychology have argued.
Yet,
the world is undergoing irrevocable change; discussions and
conclusions have become vital for making sense of the
spiritual change we are undergoing and vital for everyone
seeking meaning in a world that increasingly appears to be
without it. Proof, it would seem, may have found it
necessary to give way to need.
Jung’s
personal and professional concerns with this deeply felt
need for meaning, which he found increasingly unavailable in
traditional Western religion, prompted him to explore the
distant fields of Eastern spirituality . . . Jung argued
that religious change in our culture is directly related to
a change occurring in the God image buried in the psyche, a
change wrought by our individual and collective need to make
sense out of a world vastly different from that of even the
most recent past. . . .
It
would seem that the forces marshaled to engineer a change in
traditional religion and its God image, if victorious, would
lead us to the inner principalities and powers present in
the unconscious and deliver us into the hands of the
transformed God image, the universal Self, of religious
modernity, enshrining the individual and the experiential
and relativizing the collective and the ethical. . . .
At
a time when the flagging energies of the New Age require a
more serious venue, and spiritual vagabonds of the West are
showing signs of maturity, it might be that Jung’s vision
of the transformation of the God image of Christianity and
Judaism into an emerging Self will rejuvenate our
spiritually impoverished world. . . .
I
also thought about the vast oceans of myth and ritual on
this planet and the great catalogue that Joseph Campbell,
one of our greatest navigators, has left us in his magnum
opus, The Mask of God.
In the final volume, Creative Mythology, in the final
chapters aptly titled New
Wine, he canvasses the modern world and ends with a sage
remark about the road ahead:
“And
in this life-creative adventure, the criterion of
achievement will be, as in every one of the tales here
reviewed, the courage to let go the past, with its truths,
its goals, its dogmas of meaning and its gifts: to die to
the world and to come to birth from within.”

For
all its clichés, commercial debasement and promise of
instant enlightenment, there’s genuine integrity in this
25-year-old movement. . . .
The
irony is that as its practices and doctrines are assimilated
by the mainstream, the New Age seems unable to escape its
own clichés. The term remains a pejorative shorthand for a
range of scientifically unrespectable phenomena – from
auras and reincarnation to crystals, pyramids, UFOs,
near-death experiences and practically anything ever written
by Shirley MacLaine. It’s the epithet that commentators in
media and academic circles reach for first when they want to
condemn the “flight from science,” or the “rising tide
of irrationality” or the medical harm caused by
“create-your-own-reality” thinking.
And
indeed, critics often have a strong case that New Age
trivializes existing spiritual traditions – subtracts the
depths, lets flirtation pass for commitment and turns the
music of the Music Way into the fare you find on Lite FM.
The roles reserved for scholarship, systematic inquiry and
constructive skepticism tend to be minimized in pursuit of
E-Z enlightenment. Open the brochures from mind/body
conferences or those giveaway magazines in health food
stores; it seems instead of a new era of consciousness, what
new agers tout as a “paradigm shift” is ushering in an
epidemic of marketing and self-absorption.
Something
in me bridles when I read that a nail polish called
“Spiritual” can “aid in the connection to the higher
self.” The nadir of absurdity is the Guerlain perfume
called “Samsara,” which is Sanskrit for the incarnated
existence with which one eventually becomes disgusted and
from which one seeks liberation. (They might as well as well
labeled their portion “Slaughterhouse.”) People bandy
the word holistic about as if it signified the intrinsic
goodness of nature and somehow excluded the life histories
of small-pox, Ebola and HIV. And who doesn’t wince when
Hollywood celebrities reduce India to a fashion accessory?
One might ask if there ever were a time when the search for
self-transcendence was accompanied by more
self-advertisement. (Some of this is the media’s fault, of
course, but the coverage cuts both ways. When journalists
aren’t serving as courtesans in the celebrity kingdom,
vying for the exclusive on Madonna’s latest spiritual
pursuit, there’re overcompensating for the lost scoop with
an excess of cynicism.
The
new age contribution to literacy is even more depressing,
unless you are a revenue-hungry publisher or bookseller. The
genre has metastasized into nearly a dozen sub-categories
from tarot cards to alien abductions, with themes covering
everything from the spirituality of getting rich to the
spiritual implications of quantum mechanics. The writers
are, at their best, useful popularizers of esoteric
subjects, and at their worst, literary felons. Critic Harold
Bloom, who considers the New Age a branch of what he calls
“the American religion” in which “spiritual composure,
physical health and even economic well-being derive from
your rapport with the cosmos,” set out to read some of the
classics of the movement such as Marilyn Ferguson’s 1980
book The Aquarian
Conspiracy. He was defeated by impenetrable thickness of
gibberish. In his own 1992 book, The
American Religion, he notes: “The wonder of the New
Age . . . will be how new agers will manage to read their
own edifying discourses. The student of the New Age must be
resigned to that proverbial picnic, to which the authors
bring the words . . . and the readers bring the meanings.”
So
no, it’s not easy to embrace a movement overrun with
marketers and bad prose. But focussing on what is venal or
unintelligible in the New Age misses the point. Behind the
soft-headed philosophy, beneath the clichés about
“transformation” and “abundance,” there is a
reservoir of genuine longing. Longing from relief from a
kind of spiritual poverty. . . .
I
may writhe under the new age movement, but there is nothing
contemptible about its sources. New Age developments,
commonly thought of as emerging from the ferment of the
1960s, draws on centuries of precedent. The veneration of
Mother Earth has its precursor in the planting and harvest
rituals of almost every tribal culture. Contemporary Western
interest in Eastern philosophy and religion goes back at
least two hundred years. Some new age doctrines – the
belief that everything in the universe is connected, that
the self contains a fragment of divinity – were set down
as scriptures in ancient China and India
They have been advanced as part of an intuitive
mystical tradition that has remained so consistent and vital
over the centuries that Aldous Huxley called it the
Perennial Philosophy.
There
is nothing contemptible about the aspirations of the New Age
either. That signature longing for cosmic harmony is a facet
of the quest for meaning – our immemorial search for
purpose, a sense of place in the starry scheme."

"The
Age of Aquarius (PDF
format)
In an attempt to
unravel the mysteries surrounding the Age of Aquarius, one
has only to look back over the previous five years of labor
we have endured to understand that personal
"self-realization" is the key that opens the door
to "self-actualization." The difficult internal
and external struggles we have walked through over the past
half decade now shift into a higher gear, giving us the
potential to create our dreams, expand our horizons, and
open ourselves up to one another in deeper and more
spiritual ways.
“I
am born at this Time where I have to do this Job
of telling you that you must get your
transformation. This is a very difficult job from
all others. At the time of the Devi when She came,
She had to kill the raksasas (demons). The raksasas were separate and human beings were
separate. So She could protect the human beings.
But today the raksasas have entered into the heads
of human beings. It’s a very difficult job to
tell them that the raksasas have now gone into
your head. . . . The freedom given to human beings
at the time of Adam and Eve has deteriorated into
this kind of humanity today.
And, when it comes to such a stage, then only a
person becomes aware of himself that there is
something wrong. What am I going to give my
children? What am I doing? Where am I? And when
such a question comes to mind that is the time
where Mahalakshmi starts showing Her Light to you,
that you have to seek the Truth. And when that
seeking of Truth comes in, as William Blake has
said, that men of God will seek the Truth and they
will really become men of God. A special category
of seekers will be born at this Time, and they
will make others men of God.
So Sahaja Yoga is being built slowly in an
evolutionary process through many sages,
scientists and seers — and through many
Incarnations. And it’s all within ourselves. The whole world is within ourselves. All these great things are also within
us.
The human being is not an ignoble being. He is the
epitome of all evolution. He is not a person to be
degraded. Only thing is his ignorance. In
ignorance a rope seems a snake. Unless there is
light you cannot see the rope. So I would not call
anybody guilty, whatsoever. Whatever a person has
done, he can get his transformation because his
Spirit is still there — shining! It’s just
clouded with many things. And if somebody can by
any chance move those clouds the sun, that is the
Spirit, will shine forth . . .
So the happening is of the breakthrough of human
awareness into a New Dimension, about which Jung
has written, that is, Collective Consciousness
which has to be actualization
and becoming,
and not just talking. They become real brothers
and sisters in the sense they become part and
parcel of the Whole . . . that human beings will
know that they are in the Kingdom of God."

Many
astrologers herald April of 1995 as the actual beginning of
the "Age of Aquarius," for that is when Uranus
entered Aquarius, and of course Uranus rules the sign of the
water bearer. It's tricky to define and describe the general
nature of Aquarius and the energies of its counterpart
Uranus, for by their natures, they move beyond definition
and transcend restrictions and expectations.
Aquarius
demands much from us, particularly in the areas of faith and
trust. Periods of time ruled by Aquarius, such as this great
age we're moving into, promote the radical, the unexpected,
and the freedom to follow our impulses on all levels. Like
toddlers, we have all spent the last five years opening up
to trusting the unexplained, the intangible, and the
intuitive. We have made our ways by crawling, walking, and
falling down, continuing to force our shaky spiritual legs
to become stronger and more sure-footed. Though most of this
process has been done internally, many outward challenges
have created obstacles that made us stop and face our truest
selves as spiritual entities connected not only to a Higher
Source, but to each other as well.
We
have been laying the groundwork, for before we could become
one with all humanity as Aquarius encourages, we had to
become one with ourselves. The dawning of the new millennium
heralds this inner accomplishment, and simultaneously opens
new doors to a greater and more expansive Universal oneness.
We are now beginning to move in the world with greater
physical health and enhanced awareness as more spiritually
evolved individuals. By so raising our personal energies, we
enhance the wholeness of others, and thus raise the
vibrations of all humanity.
Perhaps
the most astounding evidence of the dawning of this age is
embodied in our recent focus on "Truth." Both
within and outside of ourselves, a search for the truth has
exposed many negative energies that have been eroding the
quality of our society and blocking growth, progress or
resolution to cyclic problems that affect us all. Exposures
of deception have surfaced in the realms of religion, health
care, politics, finances/banking, the environment, science,
and even the personal sexual lives of our leaders.
True
to Aquarian nature, the illusions surrounding these
structures have been stripped away; concurrently, we've had
other illusions dispelled in our personal lives that never
made the national news. The control and power that these
establishments and icons of order have had over us are about
to be overthrown and revised by humanity as a whole. No
longer will the majority be ruled by a few select
individuals. As we begin to share and expand our ideals with
others, we can now expect to move our personal spiritual
visions in the physical world, creating higher laws and
establishing a more Universal foundation based in
metaphysics, truth, peace and wholeness.
Now
that we have mastered the art of being responsible for
ourselves as individuals, we can begin a new millennium
embracing the Aquarian ideal that each one of us carries the
responsibility for the collective well-being of all
humanity."

“"Then
Jesus with the twelve went forth and sat upon Mount Olives,
just beyond the city's gate.
And his disciples said, Behold the wondrous city of
Jerusalem! its homes are all so beautiful! its temples and
its shrines are clothed in such magnificence!
And Jesus said, The city is the glory of my people, Israel,
but, lo, the time will come when every stone will be cast
down, and it will be a hiss and byword for the nations of
the earth.
And the disciples asked, When will this desolation come?
And Jesus said, This round of human life will not be full
until the armies of the conqueror will thunder at her gates,
and they will enter in, and blood will flow like water
through the streets.
And all the precious furnishings of temple, court and
palaces will be destroyed, or carried off to deck the
palaces and courts of kings.
Behold, these days are not at hand. Before they come, lo,
you shall be maltreated by the scribes and Pharisees, the
high priests and the doctors of the law.
Without a cause you will be haled into the courts; you will
be stoned; you will be beaten in the synagogues; will stand
condemned before the rulers of this world, and governors and
kings will sentence you to death.
But you will falter not, and you will testify for truth and
righteousness.
And in these hours be anxious not about your speech; you
need not think of what to say;
For, lo, the Holy Breath will overshadow you and give you
words to say.
But then the carnage will go on, and men will think that
they are pleasing God by killing you, and nations far and
near will hate you for the sake of Christ.
And men will stir up evil thoughts among your kin, and they
will hate you and will give you up to die.
And brothers will be false to brothers; fathers will stand
forth and testify against their own, and children will drive
parents to the funeral pile.
When you shall hear the Roman eagle screaming in the air,
and see his legions streaming o'er the plain, then know the
desolation of Jerusalem is near.
Then let the wise wait not, but flee. Let him who is upon
his house wait not to enter in the house to gather up his
wealth, but let him flee.
And he who labours in the field must not return, but leave
his all to save his life.
And woe to mothers with their little children in that day;
none shall escape the sword.
The tribulation of these days cannot be told in words, for
such has never been since God created man upon the earth.
The conqueror will carry many of the sons of Abraham away as
captives into foreign lands, and they who know not Israel's
God will tread the highways of Jerusalem until the
anti-Jewish times have been fulfilled.
But when the people have been punished for their crimes, the
tribulation days will end; but lo, the time will come when
all the world will rise, like gladiators in a ring, and
fight just for the sake of shedding blood.
And men will reason not; they will not see, nor care to see
a cause for carnage, desolation, thefts; for they will war
with friend or foe.
The very air will seem surcharged with smoke of death; and
pestilence will follow close upon the sword.
And signs that men have never seen will then appear in
heaven and earth; in sun, and moon, and stars.
The seas will roar, and sounds will come from heaven that
men can never comprehend, and these will bring distress of
nations with perplexity.
Hearts of the strongest men will faint in fear, in
expectation of the coming of more frightful things upon the
earth.
But while the conflicts rage on land and sea, the Prince of
Peace will stand above the clouds of heaven and say again:
Peace, peace on earth; good will to men; and every man will
throw away his sword, and nations will learn war no more.
And then the man who bears the pitcher will walk forth
across an arc of heaven; the sign and signet of the son of
man will stand forth in the eastern sky.
The wise will then lift up their heads and know that the
redemption of the earth is near.
Before these days shall come, behold, false Christ's and
poor deluded prophets will arise in many lands.
And they will show forth signs, and do a multitude of mighty
works; and they will lead astray the many who are not wise;
and many of the wise will be deceived.
And now I tell you once again, When men shall say, The
Christ is in the wilderness, go you not forth.
And if they say, The Christ is in the secret place, believe
it not; for when he comes the world will know that he has
come.
For as the morning light comes from the east and shines unto
the west; so shall be the coming of the age and son of man.
The wicked of the earth will weep when they shall see the
son of man come down upon the clouds of heaven, in power.
Take heed you, 0 take heed, for you know not the hour nor
the day when comes the son of man.
Let not your hearts be overcharged with sensuous things, nor
with the cares of life, lest that day come and find you
unprepared.
Keep watch at every season of the year; and pray that you
may meet the Lord with joy and not with grief.
Before these days shall come our Father-God will send his
messengers abroad, yea, to the corners of the earth, and
they will say.
Prepare you, 0 prepare; the Prince of Peace shall come, and
now is coming on the clouds of heaven.
When Jesus had thus said, he went with his disciples back to
Bethany.”

“The
Age Of Aquarius
You are probably familiar with the term New Age, and
you may have heard or read about the dawning of the
Age of Aquarius. This simply means that we are leaving
one age (Pisces), and entering into a new one
(Aquarius). This happens every two thousand years -
the last one coinciding with the arrival of Christ.
What does this have to do with you? Well, it has quite
a lot to do with you and everyone else on the planet.
For a start, if you haven't already undergone any
changes, you might be feeling the urge to change now,
or you may be witnessing changes around you. Either
way, you will certainly be aware that life on planet
Earth seems to be going off the rails in one way or
another.
This is characteristic of the changing of the Ages as
people struggle to adapt to the new energies. You will
also have noticed certain major developments - such as
science, computers and technology, all of which are
now forming the backbone of our society. UFO's,
alternative medicine, astrology, vegetarianism and
other subjects previously considered weird or cranky
are growing rapidly in popularity, and are all
subjects associated with the sign of Aquarius. These
subjects will become more and more commonplace, and
astrology and other 'mystical' methods of self-help
and understanding will help people to become more in
tune with their spiritual selves in preparation for
the New Age.
People are already beginning to look within for the
answers they seek, instead of outwards to money,
possessions and other people. The more enlightened
members of society will welcome the New Dawn with its
emphasis on humanity, kindness, truth, spirituality
and enlightenment. The less evolved are struggling and
are reacting with negative forms of behaviour which is
the main reason for all the chaos and negativity
around at the moment.
Expressing an interest in a New Age subject shows that
you are in tune with the subtle astrological energies
engulfing our planet, and that you are consciously (or
subconsciously) seeking spiritual answers, and
therefore have the potential for the self-improvement
that will enable you to enter into the New Age with
ease, and hopefully, help others to do the same.”

“As
an upper middle-class English intellectual, Huxley
became the unlikeliest of youth gurus when the account
of his drug experiments, The Doors of Perception, was
adopted as a set text for the psychedelic Sixties.
Between 1966 and 1968 a whole generation of Western
youth was swept up in a seemingly spontaneous wave of
idealism and attempted to go back to nature. It was
the Age of Aquarius, of “Flower Power”, Free Love,
Free Festivals and freely available drugs. Prompted by
the Beatles sojourns in India under the spell of the
Maharishi Mahesh Yogi, there was unprecedented
enthusiasm for Eastern mysticism and culture. There
was also a genuine desire to “Make Love, Not War”
and to establish a new sense of community in the West.
Many made the pilgrimage to the East, but turned back
disillusioned when they failed to find instant
enlightenment. Unfortunately, in their rush to “Turn
On, Tune In, Drop Out” (the slogan of LSD messiah
Dr. Timothy Leary), the ‘hippies’ did not heed
Huxley’s warning that a society addicted to
self-indulgent drug experimentation without any
spiritual insight or discipline would fall apart.
However the spirit of the Sixties encouraged a greater
awareness of Eastern ideas, popularized the practice
of Yoga, meditation and vegetarianism, encouraged the
growth of ecological movements and thus laid the
foundation for today’s New Age movement.”

“Aquarius
is the sign of brotherly love and humanitarianism...
In the coming era .. astrologers expect that the
concept of individual nations will fade and that
mankind will join together as one people rather than
be seperated into nationalities...Thus.in the Age of
Aquarius....we MAY reach at last the long held ideal
of world peace...!!
Predictions are that there will be a great emphasis on
the common man..and that special priviledge for people
of higher birth or wealth will become an antique
notion.!!...The aristocrat of the furture will be the
person of learning and achievement.
Aquarius is the sign of scientific knowledge and
invention...and rules air waves..It is impossible to
imagine what mind-boggling inventions will take place
in the next 2,000 years...but astrologers predict
incredible journeys through space will definitely be
one of them...Not just travel in our own galaxy..but
to the universe beyond.
There will be space arks that can transport multitudes
of people..space colonies..and interstellar travel..
The achievement of travel to the stars will indeed be
remarkable when one considers that Pluto . . . our
outer most planet . . . is only five light-minutes
distance from us...While the nearest STAR (not
counting our Sun)..is 4.3 light YEARS away.!!!
Aquarius is a mental sign..and the future should be
marked by yet unthinkable intellectual
achievements..There will be concern for the
environment..and the discovery of new technology to
solve the problems of dwindling supplies of energy and
resoures on Earth..The power of atomic energy . .
electronics . . aviations (all Aquarian inventions)
will be harnessed for the greatest possible
use..Aquarius is a practical sign. The purpose of
knowledge is to make use of it . . . not simply for
the sake of knowing.
Astrologers have a special place in their hearts for
Aquarius...because it is the sign associated with
astrology. We have already seen an upsurge of
interest in astrology at the dawning of the Aquarian
Age..As someone once remarked. "Astrology is the
religion of the new generation"...In the coming
Age of Aquarius..astrology will no longer be thought
of as a superstitious, arcane or secret knowledge
possessed by only a few..It will be a respected
scientific inquiry available to every one!!!
Perhaps it is wishful thinking to say that in the Age
of Aquarius mankind will achieve universal harmony but
after all .Aquarius is the sign of hopes and wishes.
Astrologers hope that in the Aquarian Age we will
build on past knowledge to discover new truths
(Aquarius is the truth seeker).
Granted the predictions are based on the positive
qualities of Aquarius. Such negative qualities as
inflexibility and vacillation and the pursuit of
selfish desires will also be part of the New Age.
Mankind has not evolved SO high that we can expect a
new race of totally unselfish and idealistic people.
We also must surmount grave problems.”

“There's
no way to know where the Age of Aquarius will lead us
all. Who knows what the world will be like in the year
4000? As science proves that we are all one race --
that no matter our color or origin, we are all
essentially the same beneath our skin -- we will also
grow, change and learn to adapt to one another's
cultural and individual differences. We have an
opportunity to apply the most positive qualities of
Aquarius -- intellectual openness, humanitarianism and
compassion for the environment -- to making our world
a more considerate, benevolent and accepting place.”

“The
massive humanist and secularist movement in the early part of this century
prepared hundreds of millions to accept the rising New Age religion of the
last days. One of the New Age writers, John Price, claimed that today
there are at least “half a billion New Age advocates on the planet at
this time, working among various religious organizations.” . . .
The New Age movement was inspired by the Japanese spiritual
leader, Meishu Sama’s vision in the 1930s of a coming transforming
illumination following a series of catastrophes that will shake the
planet. He believed that the final crisis will purify the earth, its
population, and end the Age of Darkness. Sama described a coming
Messiah-like figure called a “Matraiya.” He believed this superman
will have tremendous psychic and occult abilities enabling him to
establish a New Age, a global transformation of society ushering in a new
type of humanity . . .
Thousands of New Age organizations are working night and
day toward their goal of bringing about a New World Order by the year
2000.”

“Religion
in the Cayce records cannot be confined to limited boundaries. It runs
throughout every reading, whether physical, mental, or spiritual, whether
on science or sociology, for all ages, for people of all faiths. There is
an underlying truth which is consistent, and which cuts across all manmade
lines.
In 1931, Cayce predicted that one woman would live to see “the greatest
development in spiritual affairs that the world has known.” In the
thirty-seven years since that time, has the world developed spiritually?
Memories of personal experience and of what has happened to the world
during that time would probably make most people answer No! After all these years, on the eve of upheavals in the earth we
don’t quite believe will be possible.”

“ "
We
are in the second Renaissance. In the first, our
ancestors explored the seas and discovered new
continents …. In this, our present age, we are
setting out to explore the cosmos and reality."
(Sir George Trevelyan)
In 1969, Sir George Trevelyan (born in 1906), a
pioneer of the New Age movement and spiritual
education in Britain, set up the Wrekin Trust at
Rossen-Wye in Herefordshire to offer courses in "
New
Age consciousness."
Since then, in the belief that only a change in
personal consciousness can bring about social renewal,
he has dedicated himself to promoting a greater
awareness of spiritual knowledge, esoteric psychology
and the Ageless Wisdom.
Trevelyan sees the violent changes that are occurring
at the present time as the result of a crisis at
psychic, material and spiritual levels of existence. "
Armageddon
is indeed being fought out within human hearts,” he
has written, “outward events merely mirror the
condition of the soul."
Taking a particular Eastern viewpoint, he suggests
that out current sufferings are intended to teach us
to overcome our desires so that we can be receptive to
the influence of our higher selves.
"
… the sick soul of planetary man is drawing to
itself a sort of cosmic cleansing to clear out debris
accumulated through centuries of egoism, selfishness
and greed."
We may be witnessing the breakdown of civilization,
but these are symptoms of a crucial spiritual
awakening. We are currently emerging from an epoch in
which we had the luxury of being mere observers, into
an age where we will be forced to take an active role
if we truly wish to bring about transformation. This
transformation is likely to manifest itself in both
dramatic and subtle ways.
One of these manifestation is a growing awareness that
man and the earth are dependent upon the other. Our
planet is not an inanimate lump of rock which we can
plunder at will, but a living organism which we are
slowly poisoning. . . .
Trevelyan repeatedly urges Humanity to awaken to the
creative spirit and the Higher Intelligence in the
Universe which will bring the new world into being,
saying that never before in our history “has man
been so strongly supported by such high power …
waiting to sweep through human consciousness.” But
he acknowledges that the forces of darkness are abroad
in the form of ignorance, fear, crime and violence. "
But
the worse things appear to be,” he reassures us,
“the more we must fervently embrace the hope of the
light which will follow … We may be certain that, as
outward conditions worsen, our invisible guides will
draw closer and show themselves the more ready, even
eager, to help … seers and adepts foretell a great
spiritual crisis or turning point for mankind by the
end of the 20th century …"
How this manifests itself, Trevelyan says, will depend
on whether we act as receptive channels to "
ground"
the energy or "
block
the flow” through our fear of change and love of
materialism. The New Age energies are apparently all
around us, but they will only begin to flow if we
“open ourselves and invoke them."
Individually and collectively, we retain the free will
to either bring about this new consciousness, or
smother it at birth.
Trevelyan believes that what he calls "
the
barriers between the worlds"
are being broken down, so that we will soon be able to
appreciate the interdependency of all things. "
We
are truly involved with a second coming,"
he states. "
The
only real anxiety is that we may not be awake and
aware when our moment arrives."

“The
Aquarian influence, as I have already stated,
stretches back for decades. The children of the
sixties, the famous flower children who banded
together in an unprecedented revolutionary challenge
of their parents’ status quo, exhibited the
tremendous impact of that Aquarian energy. Their
goals, in their essence, were distinctly Aquarian
peace, love, understanding. Everything from their
music to their form of dress was a departure, a way of
being different, of breaking free. And they proclaimed
it loudly in the style and the words of their music
when they said that it was, in fact, “the dawning of
the Age of Aquarius.
The youth of the sixties challenged the existing mores
and beliefs that they were brought up to uphold. They
were the natural founders of our current environmental
movements as they insistently condemned the
destruction of the planet.”

“The
Mysterious Birth of a New Species.
Unknown Man
is the first declaration of a new species being born on Earth. The last
time such an event occurred was thirty-five thousand years ago when Homo
sapiens evolved alongside Neanderthal man. Evidence, both of a scientific
and mystical nature, has been gathered by the author to give substance to
the proposal that the coming new species will grow out of a seed that has
lain dormant within our genetic pool for millennia. This book provides an
extraordinary blueprint of mankind which reveals that we are richly
endowed with miraculous, yet almost unknown talents and that these
talents, when revealed, will alter our condition to bring the species into
a “natural state” which hitherto has been reserved only for a choice
few.
In
the past two decades the Western world has begun a completely new
appreciation of mystical, Eastern teaching and with this fresh view the
post-war generation has begun to question the old traditions and values,
with science at last delving into “maps” of life and mankind that have
been around for thousands of years, ignored in preference to rational
thinking.
Unknown
Man explores these maps alongside the scientific advancements of today
to reveal higher evolutionary functions within our glandular system, the
heart and the brain which, when activated, can bring an individual into a
“natural state,” much like that of masters such as Buddha, Lao Tzu,
Bodhidharma, Raman Maharshi and Meher Baba — those unique pioneers of
sychicjournal.com that holds the key to the entire
direction of the next evolutionary jump to be taken by man.
The
author blends science and mysticism, facts and speculation to create a
vivid and unexpected portrait of the coming changelings: their appearance,
their physical, mental and spiritual differences and the way in which we
— the old Homo sapiens need to prepare ground for those already on our
doorstep . . . .
The
ending of our century has more than its fair share of predictions and
omens. No other century has such a wealth of apocalyptic prophecies
surrounding its closing years. And yet interwoven through the visions of a
cataclysmic end to our dark warring age is one very particular thread of
light — the supposed appearance of a totally new being who heralds a new
age of consciousness.”

“Each
of us is born with a divine spark that links us to the universe and to
God.
To
get in touch with the inner vibration, to touch the universal spark, you
must let go of self-delusion and anger. You must open yourself to the
possibilities — and live open to the apparent impossible. You must learn
to look inside your self. The path lies in reflection, in meditation . . .
Knowing
is very important in the New Millennium. This is the time for us to stop
blindly believing what we are told. This is the time for us to go beyond
beliefs. It is the time to challenge all that we have been taught to
accept without question and build our beliefs for ourselves based on our
own personal knowledge. We no longer will trust others to interpret holy
words for us. We will look and learn and know for ourselves. By emptying
ourselves and learning to be totally present in this moment, we will open
ourselves to developing knowledge for ourselves. The more we become
present and aware in every moment, the more we become aware of everything
at every moment. And the more we become aware of everything, the more we
will know for ourselves.
And
when you are fully in this moment, just being without thinking, then you
are free . . .
You
are not separate from the universe, you are not a visitor trying to see
what it is really like, you are part of it. And just as it is divine, so
are you. You are part of the perfect universe and you are perfect. In that
way, putting meditation in action puts us at peace with ourselves. And
that opens the way for us to be flooded with the peace that permeates this
golden age.”
