There is a very close connection between the
woman, city of
Rome
and the beast; the
woman
(Pope) sitting upon the scarlet-colored
beast
(Vatican)
with
seven
heads (Rome).
Heathen
Rome had a national festival called Septimontium, the feast of the
seven-hilled city; and on the imperial coins she
is represented as a woman seated on seven hills.
The
Vatican,
the paramount
world power and ruling it by
the
claim of supremacy, is the
chief representative
of this symbol. The scarlet color of a red and purple
garment was, and still is, the favorite color of the clergy
a
imperial robe of kingly authority and triumph.
Under
Vatican superintendence, the
Pope puts
forth blasphemous pretensions of godliness worse than in pagan days.
In
a
ceremony called "the adoration" he is
placed by the cardinals in God's temple on the altar to sit there,
and they kiss
his feet.
According to Uriah Smith in The
Prophecies of Daniel and the Revelation, "This
woman is explicitly called Babylon. Is Rome, then, Babylon,
to the exclusion of all other religious bodies? No, she
cannot be, from the fact that she is called the mother
of harlots as already noticed, which shows that there are
other independent religious organizations that constitute
the apostate daughters, and belong to the same great family.
. . .
The beast of which the angel here speaks is evidently the
scarlet-colored beast. A wild beast, like the one thus
introduced, is the symbol of an oppressive and persecuting
power. While the Roman power as a nation had a long,
interrupted existence, it passed through certain phases
during which this symbol would not be applicable to it, and
during which time the beast, in such prophecies as the
present, might be said not to be, or not to exist. Thus Rome
in its pagan form was a persecuting power in its relation to
the people of God, during which time it constituted the
beast that was. But when the empire was nominally converted
to Christianity, there was a transition from paganism to
another phase of religion falsely called Christian. During a
brief period, while this transition was going on, it lost
its ferocious and persecuting character, and then it could
be said of the beast that it was not. As time passed, it
developed into the papacy, and again assumed its
bloodthirsty and oppressive character." 1
And
the women was arrayed in purple and scarlet colour, and
decked with gold and precious stones and pearls, having a
golden cup in her hand full of abominations, and filthiness
of her fornications:

These
are the colors of the
Holy See, or
the administrative arm of the Vatican. The Pope's aides wear
purple vestments , with shirt sleeves that are scarlet from
the elbow to the wrist and purple skull caps , while
Cardinal Bishops wear black and scarlet. As for the Pontiff,
he generally wears white under garments with a scarlet cape
when he is there.

The color scarlet
was reserved for
popes and cardinals. Paul II made it penal for anyone but cardinals to
wear hats of scarlet
(Roman Ceremonial [3.5.5]).
This book
was compiled several centuries ago by Marcellus, a Romish archbishop, and
dedicated to Leo X. In it are enumerated five different articles of dress
of scarlet color. A vest is mentioned studded with pearls.
The Pope's miter is of gold and precious stones. These are
the very characteristics outwardly which Revelation thrice assigns to the
harlot or Babylon. So Joachim an abbot from Calabria, about A.D. 1200,
when asked by Richard of England, who had summoned him to Palestine,
concerning Antichrist, replied that "he was born long ago at Rome, and is
now exalting himself above all that is called God." Roger Hoveden
[Annals, 1.2], and elsewhere, wrote, "The harlot arrayed in gold is
the Church of Rome."
T
hat harlot, which is the Vatican Church, is described by her attire,
profession, and deeds. Her attire, bedecked with jewels and gold, is most
glorious, triumphant, rich, gorgeous and indicate enormous wealth. By
profession this catholic and apostolical
Roman church is the head of the world, the mother of all
believers, the faithful interpreter of God and mistress of all
churches. For deeds she has in her hand a golden cup full of
abominations, a symbol of the false church.
The
most abominable doctrines and practices are devised to
enforce servitude and worship, with the utmost pomp and magnificence, the
homage due to the Creator.
And upon her forehead was a name written, MYSTERY, BABYLON
THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND ABOMINATIONS OF THE
EARTH.
Book of Revelation 17:5
Mystery
is at the very heart of Roman Catholicism, for the words
"Mysterium fide" are pronounced at the alleged
transformation of the bread and wine into the literal body
and blood of Christ to the enigmatic apparitions of Mary
around the world. Every sacrament, from baptism to purgatory
release, manifests the mysterious power which the faithful
must believe the priests wield, but for which there is no
visible evidence. "Mystery"
implies a spiritual fact heretofore hidden, and
incapable of discovery by mere reason, but now revealed. Thus
the
title which told who she was and explained her
character is Mystery, making pretensions that the world cannot
understand,
deceiving with the title of
religion.
So
God teaches that this beast is much increased in impiety and
injustice and does in this last age, triumph in both these
more insolently and proudly then ever before.
It was customary in
Rome of
shamelessly bold harlots to hang out signs, with their names, that all might know
what they were. She is
named from her infamous way and practice; not only is the Vatican a harlot, but a mother
of harlots, breeding up harlots, and nursing and training them up to
idolatry, and all sorts of lewdness and wickedness the parent Church and nurse of
all false religion and filthy conversation. She
is the mother of other false churches
which have followed her ways. Benedict XIII, in his indiction for a jubilee, A.D.
1725, called Rome "the mother of all believers, and the mistress of
all churches" i.e., harlots like herself. The correspondence of syllables and
accents in Greek is striking; "He porne kai to therion; He
numphe kai to arnion." "The whore and the beast; the Bride and the
Lamb."
The fact that uniform use is used to
describe a falling away from God shows that the Scarlet
Harlot is the symbol of a faithless, apostate church. "There are only three places in the whole Bible
where the figure is applied to heathen cities or nations; twice to Tyre,
and once to Nineveh." [Williams]
"The
Roman Catholic Church has insisted upon celibacy even though
many popes as well as cardinals, bishops, archbishops,
monks, and priests throughout history, have repeatedly
violated their vows. Not only has celibacy made sinners of
the clergy who engage in fornication, but makes harlots out
of those with whom they secretly cohabit. History is replete
with sayings that mocked the church's false claim to
celibacy and revealed the truth: "Rome has more
prostitutes than any other city because she has the most
celibates". An ex-Jesuit (Peter de la Rosa) reported
that popes had mistresses of fifteen years of age, were
guilty of incest and sexual perversions of every sort, had
innumerable children, were murdered in the very act of
adultery. . . Rome is indeed "the mother of
harlots" " 2
Thus
the Vatican is without doubt the mother of
harlots - the parent, ringleader, patroness, mother of many
daughters, that loosely copy after her abominations of every
kind, spiritual and fleshly. In this
respect she is indeed catholic or universal.
"The Church has gained outward recognition by leaning on the
world power which in its turn uses the Church for its own objects; such is
the picture here of Christendom ripe for judgment"
[Auberlen]. Not merely Rome, but Christendom as a whole has become a harlot. If Rome were
the only seat of Babylon, much of the spiritual profit of
Revelation would be lost to us; but the harlot "sitteth upon many waters"
, and "all nations have drunk of the wine of her fornication".
And I saw the woman drunken with the blood of saints, and
with the blood of the martyrs of Jesus: And when I saw her,
I wondered with great admiration.

And I saw the woman
drunk with the blood of the saints
. This implies that she had been a great persecutor and had
slain multitudes of the people of God. There is only one body claiming to
be the Christian Church to whom this will apply. There have been some
harlot daughters of the harlot mother who have also engaged in
persecution, but there is only one self-styled Christian body on the earth
of whom it can be said she "was drunk with the blood of the saints"
the Vatican!
So that Rome may well be
called, "The slaughter - house of the martyrs." She has
shed horrific
amounts of innocent
Christian blood in every age and
drank their blood with such greediness that she intoxicated herself with
it.
She satiated
herself with the blood of the saints and martyrs of Jesus
and
it was so pleasant to her that she could not tell when she had had
enough of it: she was satiated, but never satisfied.
The power that for so
many centuries maintained despotic sway over the monarchs of
Christendom is Rome. The purple and scarlet color, the gold
and precious stones and pearls, vividly picture the
magnificence and more than kingly pomp affected by the
haughty see of Rome. And no other power could be so truly
declared "drunken with the blood of the saints" as
that church which has so cruelly persecuted the followers of
Christ. The Vatican is also charged with the sin of unlawful
connection with "the kings of the earth." It was
by departure from the Lord, and Rome, corrupting herself in
like manner by seeking the support of worldly powers,
receives a like condemnation.
"The
primary purpose of these studies on the book of the
Revelation which, alas, is a closed book to many ministers,
is to show you the incredible accuracy and truth of this
prophecy; proving that it is none other than the Word of the
living God Himself.
We are living in days of great international tension and
severe crisis. Days that are filled with fear and insecurity
at the things that are happening all around us. During this
past thirty years the world has shrunk, as it were, into a
global village. News and events travel extremely fast while
years ago it literally took weeks and months to tell people
what actually happened.
The words of the Lord Jesus are coming to pass when He said
in Luke chapter 21 verses 25 to 27, And there shall be
signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars; and
upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity; the sea
and the waves roaring; Men's hearts failing them for fear,
and for looking after those things which are coming on the
earth: for the powers of heaven shall be shaken. But look at
this He continues, And then shall they see the Son of man
coming in a cloud with power and great glory. And when these
things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your
heads; for your redemption draweth nigh.
I believe, friend, with all my heart, that we are living
right in the centre of those days the Lord Jesus spoke
about; the second coming of Christ has become to me
personally a living hope and a living reality. In fact, I am
convinced it is the only hope for the church, His blood
washed people, and the only hope for this planet's survival
before it explodes, and burns itself into a floating cinder
drifting aimlessly into outer space. The Lord Jesus said in
the Bible that He would come the second time, and I believe
it.
So
let's again, friend, look at the things He has revealed in
this book, and see how every word He has shown, and spoken
has come to pass, and has never fallen to the ground.
To
begin my introduction to this great chapter, Revelation
chapter 17. Let me repeat the true title of the book of
Revelation is: The Revelation of Jesus Christ. The word
'revelation' here means apocalypses, which means the
unveiling - the laying bare. The unveiling of mysteries
which God alone knows. But every Bible student knows, that
in the original manuscripts of the scriptures there were no
chapter divisions. They were put in by the translators at a
later date. And while they are a great convenience, there
are occasions where they make breaks in the sequence which
are anything but helpful.
The
chapter with which we are dealing with is an obvious
example: for it is really the story of chapter 16. It is
still the story of things still happening under the
judgements of the seven vials of wrath. Then it goes into
detail to identify the system upon which the wrath of God is
being poured. John indeed says here that the vision of the
scarlet woman is given to him by one of the angels who
poured out the vials.
Now
notice verse 1, the angel is delegated to reveal to John
important characteristics of identification. Not just for
his personal enlightenment because the events were still far
into the future, but for our enlightenment who live in the
age of their fulfilment. John could not possible know what
these things meant. It was enough for him to faithfully
record what he saw. But I say to you friend, who live in the
very end of this age, with all the historic details of the
last 2000 years behind us, there should be little difficulty
in determining to whom, and to what this passage refers.
John
is taken into the wilderness to see a woman arrayed in
purple, and scarlet, and decked with precious stones. She
had the golden cup in her hand full of abominations, and
filthiness of her fornication. She is sitting upon a scarlet
coloured beast full of the names of blasphemy. This beast
having seven heads and ten horns. Surely the word wilderness
here is in itself something we could interpret as the symbol
of a spiritual jungle. Note that today. The beast is
described in language which admits of no misinterpretation
for we have met this ugly monster in the past. It is indeed
the old familiar seven headed ten horned beast. Recognised
by all students of prophecy as the fourth beast of Daniel,
the prophets vision, of Daniel chapter 7 and verse 17, the
fourth world empire -- the Roman empire in its pagan and
later in its papal development.
Upon
this strange beast, so strange indeed, that it is not like
the former beasts given the name of any living animal, is
seated this female figure covered with blasphemous titles.
On her forehead is written, MYSTERY BABYLON THE GREAT, THE
MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH.
Now
notice, John saw her drunk. This woman is drunk. Drunk with
the blood of the saints, and with the blood of the martyrs
of the Lord Jesus Christ. We cannot wonder that he marvelled
greatly at this apparent triumph of evil. The angel indeed
had to comfort him with the message that has comforted and
sustained many a suffering saints since. The message
identified that evil system, and gave its assurance of its
eventual judgement and doom.
What
did John really see? He saw in the woman of the rise of the
papacy, and he saw the woman or the papacy was riding this
scarlet covered beast which was the old pagan Roman empire.
By the way, the wearing of the purple is the sign of
royalty. Here we have a woman decked with all the emblems of
royal regalia. In a book of Roman ceremonials compiled by
Archbishop Marcilo, and dedicated to Pope Leo the 10th. Five
articles of dress in scarlet are listed: a vest is mentioned
studded with pearls, the Popes mitres of gold, and precious
stones, his hat and those of the cardinals are also scarlet
colour.
But
notice this in verse 3, this woman is full of the names of
blasphemy under the harlots superintendents. The church of
Rome puts forth blasphemous pretensions far worse than
imperial Rome did in pagan days. The Pope is placed by the
cardinals in God's temple, and the cardinals kiss the feet
of the Pope. This ceremony is called, The adoration, in
fact, the Roman Catholic church celebrated a Papal coin
representing the cardinals kneeling before the Pope, and on
it this blasphemous legend quorum quanta adorant which is
whom they create they adore. This is nothing less, friend,
than paganism baptise, and is blasphemous in the sight of
God.
In
verse 4, the woman has a golden cup in her hand, full of
abominations and filthiness of her fornication. The cup is
often used in the scriptures as an emblem. The Psalmist said
in Psalm 23 and verse 5, My cup runneth over.
Meaning, an indication of multiplicity of blessing. And in
Isaiah chapter 51 and verse 7. Jerusalem is referred to as
having drunk, at the hand of the Lord, the cup of His fury.
So the cup can mean blessing, and the cup can mean fury.
Then
in Jeremiah chapter 51 and verse 7, we have a very revealing
statement, the prophet said, Babylon hath been a golden
cup in the Lord's hand, that made all the earth drunken: the
nations have drunken of her wine; therefore the nations are
mad. The woman on the beast holds in her hand from which
the kings of the earth, and the inhabitants drink of her
doctrine which turn them away from the pure worship of
Jehovah into idolatrous practices.
In
the days of the Babylonian empire king Belshazzar, and his
lords, desecrated God's holy vessels which had been taken
out of the temple at Jerusalem. In a somewhat similar
manner, in these latter days, Rome has taken many of God's
sacred symbols and doctrines, and has poured her own wine of
false teaching into them for her own glory and end causing
the European nations in particular to drink the wine of her
fornication. That golden cup, its dregs has damned many a
precious soul.
In
1825 A.D., on the occasion of the jubilee of Pope Leo the
12th, he struck a metal bearing on the side his own image,
and on the other that of Church of Rome; symbolise as a
woman, holding in her left hand a cross, and in her right
the cup with the legend around her 'sedet super universum',
the whole world is her seat.
The
angel told John in verse 15, The waters which thou sawest,
where the whore sitteth, are peoples, and multitudes, and
nations, and tongues. Thus in a dual capacity she not
only sat upon a Roman beast, but actually exercised control
and rule over many peoples. The church of Rome has exercised
supreme authority both spiritual and otherwise over millions
of its adherents throughout the entire world. Friend, that
is an historical fact, and it cannot be denied, and it
cannot be refuted.
The
accuracy of this prophecy to John is absolutely incredible.
Surely friend, we are looking at the revelation of Jesus
Christ who is risen from the dead and is coming again.
But
there is something else you must look at, in verse 5 it
says, There was a name written on the woman's forehead,
MYSTERY BABYLON THE GREAT. If you go to the epistle of
the Thessalonians chapter 2 and verse 7, you will find the
apostle Paul talking about the mystery of iniquity which was
beginning to work in his day. He described it to the first
century church as the rise of the man of sin, and he
identifies the man of sin as a false bishop and as a false
apostle. He doesn't identify him as an infidel Jew or an
atheist. He identifies him as a false bishop and a false
apostle.
So
Paul's mystery of iniquity spoken of in Thessalonians 2:7
was in its fulfilment in this mystery of Revelations chapter
17 and verse 5, the description by Paul of this lawless one;
and the record of John as to the activity of the Papacy.
Definitely indicating that they one in the same. The Babylon
of this 17th chapter of Revelation is characterised by the
word MYSTERY.
The
great and distinguished feature of worship in ancient
Babylon was under the name of MYSTERIES. The Chaldean
mysteries can be traced up to the days of Queen Semarames
who lived only a few centuries after the flood, and is known
to have impressed on Babylonians the image of her own
depraved and polluted mind. That beautiful but abandoned
Queen of Babylon was not only a paragon of unbridled lust
and licentiousness, but in the mystery she had a chief hand
informing. She was worshipped as Rea - the great mother of
the Gods.
Here
we have the mother and the child coming into being. Isn't it
amazing? She was worshipped as Rea mother of the Gods with
such atrocious rights as would identify her with Venus the
mother of all impurity; and raised the very city where she
had reigned to a bad eminence among the nations as the grand
seat of idolatry and consecrated prostitution. Thus, was
this Chaldean Queen fit, and a remarkable prototype of the
woman in the apocalypse with the golden cup in her hand and
the name MYSTERY BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS
AND THE ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH.
Friend,
what John saw in this woman sitting upon this scarlet
coloured beast was a vivid picture of the rise and the fall
of the papacy. In fact, she is so big in the picture she is
breaking the very frame. Shamelessly this very day, Rome is
wearing this very raiment, the very hues, and the very
colours portrayed on the pages of inspired prophecy. Go to a
mass, and you will see all the colours that are mentioned in
this portion of scripture! You may know the harlot by her
attire, certainly by the name on her brow.
Ah,
but notice this friend, and it is another true historical
fact, and I shudder when I say it, John continues his
description of the woman. He says in verse 16, And I saw
the woman drunken with the blood of saints. I want you to
notice this, she is drunken with the blood of saints, and
with the blood of the martyrs of Jesus. Then he says, When I
saw her, I wondered at her with great admiration. The
best way for me to interpret this verse is to quote from the
book The Approaching End of the Age which is now out of
print. Men and woman don't read books like this anymore!
Written by the marvellous Granton Guinness who ministered in
Dublin.
He
was a lawyer and mightily anointed by God in the days of
Spurgeon and in the days of the great preachers. "It
has been calculated that the popes of Rome have directly or
indirectly slain, on account of their faith, 15,000,000 men
and woman who hold to the Bible as the Word of God, and who
loved not their lives unto death, but resisted against
blood, striving against sin." No wonder friend, when
John saw this he wondered with great amazement which is the
literal translation of the last line. John himself was the
victim of persecution by pagan Rome. He saw literally
thousands martyred for their Christian faith. But when he
saw here in vision that it was a church, supposedly
Christian, persecuting the followers of the Lamb, and
drunken with their blood, he could not but wonder with great
amazement!
But
here is something you must consider. One of the startling
facts is that Roman Catholic writers, and I'm quoting from
their books -- if there is a priest reading this book and
I'm glad you are reading this book. I challenge you. I'm
only quoting from your books. As I quoted in the sermon
about The Worship of Mary, I quote it in your books, and I'm
quoting again. One of the startling facts is that Roman
Catholic writers freely admit that the beast referred to in
this chapter is the Roman Empire.
Indeed,
they are forced to this admission the marks are too definite
and conclusive to admit any other interpretation, but they
very cleverly evade the logical conclusion. You see, there
is a conclusion to this matter and they cleverly evade it -
that naturally follows! They claim the scarlet whore is not
the present day church of Rome, but a later development at
the end of the age, when they say, the Roman Catholic church
will apostatise. Now they say that in their books, friend,
they already have!
Thus,
and I say this with respect to her deluded followers, they
preserve the illusion that the church of Rome is still the
true and only church of Jesus Christ. The truth, of course,
remains that they have had the apostasy since the days of
Constantine, and indeed, before. Even Cardinal Belamine says
that, "Rome is signified in the apocalypse by the name
of Babylon." Cardinal Buronius admits that, "All
persons confess that Rome is denoted by the name of Babylon
in the apocalypse of John." Bosnet observes that,
"The features are so marked that it is easy to decipher
Rome under the figure of Babylon." I am quoting from
these Roman historians and theologians. But while admitting
that, Babylon the great seated on the seven hills means
Rome. Papal interpreters assert that it means heathen Rome
and not Christian Rome. The Rome of the Caesars, and that
not of the popes.
Friend,
in reply to this we must say first that the name upon the
harlot's brow is MYSTERY and that heathen Rome was never a
mystery! The true character of heathen Rome was never
concealed. On the other hand, so-called Christian Rome is a
MYSTERY! It is not what it seems. In profession it is
divine. In character it is satanic. I could go on today
giving point after point, evidence after evidence proving
the accuracy, and the minute details of God's holy Word; and
showing the scarlet woman of Revelation chapter 17 is a
picture of an apostate church manifested in the papacy and
in the church of Rome. I know I have been strong, but
friend, I trust you can detect the love that is in my heart
for Protestants and for Catholics, but I must preach the
truth.
Let
me close this part of our study by giving you another
unanswerable proof. Look at verse 8 to 11. We are reading
symbolic language here. Language of symbols you've got to
decipher them. You've got to find out what they are. The
angel says to John, I will tell you of the mystery of the
woman, and of the beast that carried her which had the seven
heads and the ten horns. Verse 8, The beast that thou
sawest, now notice the language, WAS and is not. That's
funny language. The beast that thou sawest was, and is
not, and shall ascend out of the bottomless pit, and go into
perdition: and they that dwell on the earth shall wonder.
Look
at this remarkable statement friend, Whose names were not
written in the Book of Life from the foundation of the
world! Powerful! Theologians would like to leave verses like
that out. These are powerful verses. When they behold the
beast that was not, and now yet is. Verse 9, And here is the
mind that hath wisdom, God give us minds today that have
wisdom. I see Protestant clergymen on the way to Rome. They
haven't minds and they haven't wisdom. I see them trucking
with them. I see them worshipping with them. I see them
entering into their doctrines, I see them, they have no
minds, and they have no wisdom!
Here
is the mind that hath wisdom, the seven heads are seven
mountains, on which the woman sitteth - there you have the
first clue. Verse 10, And there are seven kings: five are
fallen, and one is, and the other is yet come; and when he
cometh, he must continue a short space. Verse 11, And
the beast that was, and is not, even he is the eighth, and
is of the seven, and goeth into perdition. What does all
this mean? Which was, is not, and yet is? Strange language,
but clear as clear can be to the thoughtful student of
prophecy and of history.
This
is a powerful, accurate description of the historic
development of the fourth gentile world empire. It existed
that's where this little word WAS comes in. And it existed
for a long time as the pagan Roman empire. It then ceased to
exist, and then WAS NOT during the barbarian invasion of the
5th century. And yet, rose again in another and in more
sinister forms under the dynasty of the popes. That's where
Daniel saw a little horn rising out of the sea speaking
blasphemy!
The
great apostasy which was in reality a continuation of
paganism with a veneer of Christianity. No wonder the angel
said, The world wondered after the beast: meaning the
unregenerated masses of mankind were amazed and enamoured by
the peculiar semi-religious, semi-political system drunken
with the heady wine of her fornication.
Watch
again, friend, the accuracy of God's holy Word. We see in
these verses the seven heads of pagan Rome. The seven forms
of government of which in John's day, 5 had fallen, one was,
and one was yet to come; and we are told there is another
significance here, the seven hills in which the woman was
seated - here we have it. What more proof do we need? The
city of Rome, today, is still spoken of as the city of seven
hills." 3

Babylon?
"4 And the woman
was arrayed in purple and scarlet colour, and decked with
gold and precious stones and pearls, having a golden cup in
her hand full of abominations and filthiness of her
fornication: 5 And upon her forehead was a name written,
MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND
ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH. 6 And I saw the woman drunken
with the blood of the saints, and with the blood of the
martyrs of Jesus: and when I saw her, I wondered with great
admiration." Revelation 17:4-6
This article shows us who the Bible
calls Mystery Babylon.
1. The Location of Mystery Babylon
In Revelation 17:3 it says "So he carried me away in
the spirit into the wilderness: and I saw a woman sit upon a
scarlet coloured beast, full of names of blasphemy, having
seven heads and ten horns." Revelation 17:9 shows
the location of the woman which is mystery Babylon. In
Revelation 17:9 it says "And here is the mind which
hath wisdom. The seven heads are seven mountains, on which
the woman sitteth." This is Rome in Italy. The
Encyclopedia Britannica describes the" Seven Hills Of
Rome" as a "group of hills on or about which the
ancient city of Rome was built." (1)
The location of mystery Babylon is in Rome, Italy. Today
many call Vatican City the headquarters of the Roman
Catholic church.
2. The Colors Of Mystery Babylon
Revelation 17: 4
describes the colors of Mystery Babylon. In Revelation 17:4
it says " And the woman was arrayed in purple and
scarlet colour, and decked with gold and precious stones and
pearls, having a golden cup in her hand full of abominations
and filthiness of her fornication:" Notice the
colors purple, scarlet (or red), gold, precious stones and
pearls, having a golden cup in her hand. In the year 2000,
the newspaper starting showing color pictures of the pope as
he traveled to Egypt and Israel." An article titled
"Pope Celebrates Mass in Egypt -Pontiff Deplores Bias
Against Christians" (2) describes
some of the pope's colors, "The pope was greeted with
cheers, emotional waving and song as he slowly made his way
to the altar, dressed in white and gold robes." This
picture also shows the pope giving a wafer to an Egyptian
Catholic with the pope and cardinal holding a cup with gold
in the inside standing in front of a gold and white chair.
The cardinal also had clothing that was white and scarlet.
In the March 12th issue of the Oregonian an article titled
" The Pope's Crusade"(3),
shows a picture of the pope dressed in a purple and white
robe with a scarf standing between two cardinals dressed in
white and scarlet. Another article from the Columbian
Newspaper, titled "Frail pontiff forgoes Christ's
symbolic walk" (4)
shows a picture of the pope dressed in white and scarlet .
We see from Revelation 17:4 that these unique colors show
the Roman Catholic Church is Mystery Babylon.
3. Mystery Babylon Drunken With The
Blood Of The Saints
In Revelation 17:5-6 it
says "5 And upon her forehead was a name written,
MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND
ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH. 6 And I saw the woman drunken
with the blood of the saints, and with the blood of the
martyrs of Jesus: and when I saw her, I wondered with great
admiration." In verse 5 the Bible calls Mystery
Babylon the mother of Harlots . . . In verse 6 we see
Mystery Babylon "Drunken with the blood of the
saints." During the Inquisition "From 1200 to
1808, unspeakable tortures and death stalked the Catholic
world, with 68 million victims.(5)"
During this time period many Bible believing Christians were
killed by the Catholics.
In closing, as we look at the location, the unique colors
and a history of killing Bible believing Christians we can
see that The Roman Catholic Church is Mystery Babylon."

But so many countless times and for so many centuries did the Church
extend wide open her orifices to accommodate all sizes of
evil favors that she, without question, is the Mother of all
Harlots; the scum of Fornication; and the filth of the
Earth. Not only did she sell her soul to the Devil but in
the process she also tortured, maimed, burnt, raped, and
killed countless innocent Christians and non-Christians
alike, at home and abroad all in the name of the
Almighty Creator!
We have to admire and
give grudging credit at her ingenuity and craftiness, being
able to seduce and subdue such multitudes for so many
centuries. There definitely cannot be a better example in
the entire history of humankind than the craftiness of the
Evil One in misleading humans through his infallible popes!
Their insistence on infallibility reduced hapless humanity
into soulless serfs groveling and begging for the mercy of
salvation from the Church, the Beast of Revelation. What
ingenuity! What cunning! What craftiness! What power!
We have to wonder in
great admiration and give Satan the accolades he is due. The
Prince of Darkness truly deserves a standing ovation.
"Today
we are celebrating the birth of Jesus Christ. The birth of
Jesus Christ is very symbolic because He was born in such a
manner that even the poorest of the poor wouldn't be born
in a stable. And He was put in the bed which was made of
dried grass. He came on this Earth to show people that for a
person who is an incarnation, or who is a highly Realized
soul, is not bothered about the comfort of the body.
His
Message was so great and so deep but He had disciples who
were not prepared for the battle they had to fight. It's the
same thing that sometimes happen in Sahaja Yoga.

What
Christ tried to show through His birth: There's no need to
have very comfortable great birth in a big hospital in
London. No. The simplicity of His birth should have made all
the Christians extremely simple and not at all
money-oriented."

is the Blossom Time which is being promised, which is being
already prophesized. Even a great poet in your country,
William Blake, has prophesized it. He said, "These
times will come when men of God will become prophets and
these prophets will have Power to make other prophets."
I mean nobody else could be more precise than Blake, I tell
you. He was so great to say this will happen and this is
what we have to expect.
When
we go to anybody for seeking, have we become prophets? And
what is a prophet? A prophet is a person who is a collective
being and who knows all about it, who is the master. We call
prophet a master and thats what you have to become
the master. And that mastery is very simple because is all
built within you, just it has to be connected. Like
anything, like a television set is to be connected to the
mains. Its all built-in. Its there. It just starts
working. In the same way, you are that. You are that. Just
it is to be connected. Whatever may be your caste,
community, race, nationality, shapes, heights, anything
whatever it may be makes no difference because all of you
have got this great thing within you, this Power of
rebirth and you are to be born again and you will be born
again. Why not today?
